An intermediate distillate fraction is subjected to fluid catalytic cracking (FCC) to yield liquid fuel and lighter. The C.sub.7 -C.sub.10 paraffin lift fluid is converted to C.sub.2 -C.sub.5 olefins and naphtha of enhanced octane.

Fluid catalytic cracking process

A straight run naphtha is fractionated to yield on intermediate naphtha and the heaviest 10-25 vol % as heavy naphtha. The heavy naphtha is subjected to hydrocracking to yield liquid fuel and lighter, including C.sub.4 isoparaffins and a cracked naphtha having a 90 vol % temperature (T90) of 310.degree. F. (155.degree. C.).

Heavy naphtha hydroconversion process

A hydrocarbon feedstock is catalytically cracked at an elevated temperature in a cracking zone with a zeolite cracking catalyst. The cracking catalyst employed comprises a crystalline aluminosilicate zeolite catalyst and a hybrid [Al,B]-zeolite catalyst. In this process the hydrocarbon feedstock is contacted with the zeolite catalyst in, for example, a fluidized bed catalytic cracking unit to yield cracked products containing increased amounts of C.sub.3 /C.sub.8 olefins.

Hydrocarbon cracking process employing zeolite catalysts with hybrid

In a fluid catalytic cracking (FCC) process coked catalyst is partially regenerated by contacting with high temperature steam in the absence of oxygen. About 10 to 30% of the coke is converted to a steam reformed gas comprising hydrogen, methane and carbon dioxide. The off-gas may be subjected to cryogenic separation to yield a hydrogen-rich gas.

Fluid catalytic cracking process yielding hydrogen

A straight run naphtha is fractionated to yield on intermediate naphtha and the heaviest 10 vol % as heavy naphtha. The intermediate naphtha is catalytically reformed to yield reformed naphtha having a 90 vol % temperature (T90) of 310.degree. F. (155.degree. C.). The heavy naphtha is subjected to fluid catalytic cracking (FCC) to yield liquid fuel and lighter, including C.sub.4 olefins and a cracked naphtha having a research octane number suitable for gasoline blending.
