An electronic device is provided, which includes a light sensor, an algorithm engine, an adjustment engine, and a display. The light sensor detects an ambient brightness around the electronic device. The algorithm engine is coupled to the light sensor. The algorithm engine determines at least one adjustment function according to the ambient brightness. The adjustment engine is coupled to the algorithm engine. The adjustment engine adjusts the luminance component of each pixel of an image according to the at least one adjustment function to enhance the brightness and/or the contrast of the image. The display is coupled to the adjustment engine for displaying the adjusted image.

Electronic device and method for enhancing readability of an image thereof

A display panel includes a first substrate, a second substrate and a plurality of pixel units. The pixel units are disposed between the first substrate and the second substrate, and each of the pixel units includes a reflective electrode disposed on the first substrate, a plurality of colored charged particles located between the reflective electrode and the second substrate and a lateral electrode disposed on the first substrate and extended towards the second substrate. When a first voltage is applied to the reflective electrode, the charged particles are repelled to the second substrate to display the color of the charged particles due to the affection of a first electric field, when a second voltage is applied to the lateral electrode, the charged particles are attracted to the lateral electrode due to the affection of a second electric field. Further, a driving method of a display panel is also provided.

A micro-electro-mechanical (MEM) display module including a MEM display panel and a light-emitting apparatus is provided. The MEM display panel includes a plurality of first light-shielding units, a plurality of second light-shielding units, a light-shielding pattern layer and a reflective pattern layer. Each first light-shielding unit includes a first movable light-shielding device having at least one first opening. Each second light-shielding unit includes a second movable light-shielding device having at least one second opening. The light-shielding pattern layer has a plurality of third openings. In a display mode, the first opening of at least one first movable light-shielding device overlaps at least one third opening, and each second movable light-shielding device covers the reflective pattern layer. In a reflective mode, the light-shielding pattern layer covers the first opening of each first movable light-shielding device, and the second opening of each second movable light-shielding device exposes the reflective pattern layer.

An electrical connector including a body, an electrical contact and a microphone is provided. The body has a front part and a plug aperture on the front part. The electrical contact is disposed in the plug aperture. The microphone is disposed inside the body and connected to the outside of the body through an acoustic path provided by the body. The electrical connector is adapted to a handheld electronic device, such as a mobile phone, wherein a housing of the handheld electronic device can be provided without an independent sound input aperture for the microphone, to simplify the structural design of the housing. Furthermore, at least a through hole may be formed outside the plug aperture to form multiple acoustic paths.
