A LCD having multiple cell gaps and a method producing the same are provided. By stacking various numbers of dielectric layers and/or a photosensitive organic layer with various thicknesses on a display array substrate, various cell gaps for pixels of various colors can be obtained.

Multiple cell gaps transreflective LCD and fabricating method thereof

A pixel structure of a transflective liquid crystal display array substrate includes a first patterned conductive layer, a second patterned conductive layer, a transparent patterned conductive layer, a passivation layer, and a patterned reflective metal layer. A first part of the second patterned conductive layer and a first part of the first patterned conductive layer form a first storage capacitor. The first part of the second patterned conductive layer and the transparent patterned conductive layer form a second storage capacitor. The passivation layer is formed to cover the patterned transparent conductive layer and has an opening to expose a part of the patterned transparent conductive layer. The patterned reflective metal layer is formed to cover the passivation layer and electrically connected with the patterned transparent conductive layer via the opening. A method for fabricating the pixel structure of the transflective liquid crystal display array substrate is also disclosed.

Pixel structure of transflective liquid crystal display array substrate and method for fabricating the same

A pixel structure of a transflective liquid crystal display array substrate includes a first patterned conductive layer, a second patterned conductive layer and a transparent patterned conductive layer. The first patterned conductive layer is formed on a substrate and includes a first part coupled to a pixel electrode voltage. The second patterned conductive layer includes a first part coupled to a common electrode voltage. The transparent patterned conductive layer is coupled to the pixel electrode voltage. The first part of the second patterned conductive layer and the first part of the first patterned conductive layer form a first storage capacitor. The first part of the second patterned conductive layer and the transparent patterned conductive layer form a second storage capacitor. A method for fabricating the pixel structure of the transflective liquid crystal display array substrate is also disclosed.

A transflective liquid crystal display panel having a single gap is provided. The liquid crystal display panel has a first substrate, a second substrate substantially corresponding to the first substrate, and a liquid crystal layer disposed therebetween. The first substrate includes a plurality of pixel regions, and each pixel region has at least one reflection region covered with a reflective electrode and at least one transmission region. When voltage is not applied, the liquid crystal layer in the transmission regions and in the reflection regions has a phase difference of half wavelength, and when a voltage is applied, the liquid crystal layer in the transmission regions has no phase difference, and the liquid crystal layer in the reflection regions has a phase difference of quarter wavelength.

Pixel structure of a transflective liquid crystal panel having a single gap

A pixel device of a transflective-type LCD comprises an upper panel, a lower panel, a liquid crystal layer, and a liquid crystal film. The lower panel is assembled beneath the upper panel, and an upper surface of the lower panel is divided into a reflective region and a naked transmission region. The liquid crystal layer is interposed between the upper panel and the lower panel. The liquid crystal film is positioned above the liquid crystal layer to compensate possible retardation resulted from the liquid crystal layer.

Pixel device of a transflective-type liquid crystal panel

An LCD panel includes an array substrate, a color filter substrate positioned above the array substrate, a dielectric layer disposed on the array substrate facing the color filter substrate, and a liquid crystal layer interposed between the array substrate and the color filter substrate. The color filter substrate includes a plurality of red pixel regions, green pixel regions, and blue pixel regions, and the dielectric layer has different thickness corresponding to the red pixel regions, the green pixel regions, and the blue pixel regions. Accordingly, the liquid crystal layer has a first thickness corresponding to the blue pixel regions, a second thickness corresponding to the green pixel regions, and a third thickness corresponding to the red pixel regions. The first thickness is less than the second thickness, and the second thickness is less than the third thickness.

Method of forming liquid crystal display panel

A backlight module including a first light guide plate, a first light source, a second light guide plate, and a second light source. The first light guide plate includes a first side, a second side opposite to the first side, and a first surface with a micro-groove structure. The first light source is disposed on the first side of the first light guide plate. The second light guide plate is disposed on the first light guide plate, and includes a third side, a fourth side opposite to the third side, and a second surface with a micro-groove structure. The fourth side and the second side are located at the same side. The second light source is disposed on the fourth side of the second light guide plate.
