An image processing device, including an image generation circuit and a multifocal length processing circuit, is provided. The image generation circuit generates multiple depth plane images with depth information and multiple corresponding zoom control information, and merges the multiple depth plane images and the multiple zoom control information according to an arrangement rule, to be a merged image data. The multifocal length processing circuit is configured to decompose the merged image data to restore the multiple depth plane images and the corresponding multiple zoom control information according to the arrangement rule, and to determine a time at which the restored multiple depth plane images are transmitted to a display device and a time at which the restored multiple zoom control information are transmitted to a zoom lens according to a frame rate of the display device. The disclosure also provides an image processing method and a 3D image generation system.

Image processing device, image processing method and 3D image generation system

An illumination system including first, second and third light sources, a splitting element and a wavelength conversion element is provided. The first light source emits a first light beam. The second light source emits a second light beam. The third light source emits a third light beam. The splitting element is disposed on transmission paths of the first, the second and the third light beams. The splitting element reflects the first and the third light beams, and allows the second light beam to pass through. During a first time period, the first light beam is transmitted to a first position and the second light beam is transmitted to a second position. During a second time period, the third light beam is transmitted to the first position and the second light beam is transmitted to the second position. Furthermore, a projection apparatus is also provided.

Illumination system and projection apparatus

A projector and a projection method are provided. The projector is coupled to a display card and includes a light source, a light valve, a projection lens, and a processor. The light source provides an illumination beam. The light valve converts the illumination beam into an image beam. The projection lens projects the image beam to the outside of the projector to form an imaged image. The processor receives an input image signal from the display card, and generates a control signal corresponding to the input image signal according to a refresh rate of the input image signal. When the refresh rate is greater than a threshold, the imaged image has a first resolution. When the refresh rate is less than the threshold, the light valve performs a pixel shifting operation, so that the imaged image has a second resolution. The first resolution is less than the second resolution.

Projector and projection method thereof

An illumination system, a wavelength conversion module, a projection apparatus and an illumination control method are provided. The illumination system includes excitation light source modules emitting excitation beams and a wavelength conversion module located on a transmission path of the excitation beams and including a substrate, a first region and a second region. The first and second regions are respectively located on a first surface and a second surface of the substrate. When the illumination system is in a high chroma illumination mode, one of the excitation light source modules provides the excitation beams to the first region, and the excitation beams form a first illumination beam through the first region. When the illumination system is in a high brightness illumination mode, one of the excitation light source modules provides the excitation beams to the second region, and the excitation beams form a second illumination beam through the second region.

Illumination system, wavelength conversion module, projection apparatus and illumination control method

A wavelength-converting wheel, for converting an excitation beam having an output power greater than or equal to 100 W into a conversion beam, is provided. The wavelength-converting wheel includes a turntable having an annular irradiation portion, an adhesive layer disposed at the annular irradiation portion, a reflective layer disposed on the adhesive layer, and a wavelength-converting layer. The wavelength-converting layer is disposed on the reflective layer and has a light receiving surface configured to be irradiated by the excitation beam. The invention further provides an illumination system including the wavelength-converting wheel, and a projection apparatus including the illumination system. The heat dissipating ability of the wavelength-converting wheel is improved. The material of the wavelength-converting layer is not deteriorated or damaged due to the heat of the excitation beam. The wavelength-converting layer has improved wavelength conversion efficiency and can effectively convert a high output power excitation beam into a conversion beam.

Wavelength-converting wheel, illumination system, and projection apparatus

The disclosure provides a projector, an image generation device, and an image generation method thereof. The projector includes an image generator, a light combiner, and a projection lens. The image generator includes light valves and generates an image beam. The light combiner includes a diffusing and filtering component, which generates a combined beam, and the image generator receives the combined beam from the diffusing and filtering component. In a first time period, the light combiner converts a first input beam into partial beams. The partial beams are transmitted to the light valves respectively. In a second time period, the light combiner receives a second input beam. The diffusing and filtering component filters out one of the partial beams, and the other of the partial beams are transmitted with the second input beam respectively to the light valves.
