A battery connector includes an insulating housing, a plurality of conductive terminals, an insulating cover and a shell. A bottom surface of the insulating housing defines a plurality of terminal recesses for receiving the conductive terminals. The conductive terminals are placed in the insulating housing from the bottom surface thereof. The insulating cover is then positioned on the bottom surface to secure the conductive terminals in the corresponding terminal recesses. The shell surrounds the front portion of the insulating housing to hold the insulating cover between the bottom surface of the insulating housing and the shell to prevent the conductive terminals from electrically contacting the shell.

Battery connector with serpentine contacts

An electrical connector includes an insulating housing, a plurality of electric terminals disposed in the insulating housing and an insulating cover assembly. An upper side and a lower side of the rear end of the insulating housing define a first locating cavity and a second locating cavity, respectively. The insulating cover assembly includes an upper cover and a lower cover mated with each other. The upper cover has a first locating portion protruded downward from a portion thereof. The lower cover has a second locating portion protruded upward from a portion thereof. When the insulating cover assembly is rightly assembled with the insulating housing, the locating portions are received in the corresponding locating cavities. When the insulating cover assembly is falsely assembled with the insulating housing, the locating portions are interfered with the insulating housing to prevent the false assembly of the insulating cover assembly and the insulating housing.

Electrical connector

A connector connected with a complementary component inserted therein from a front direction includes an insulating housing and a shield coupled with the insulating housing comprising an upper shell and a lower shell. The upper shell has an upper cover covering a top surface of the insulating housing and a pair of wings extending laterally from two opposite sides of the upper cover. The wing has a slot extending along a front-to-rear direction, and a plurality of positioning pegs extended downwards from a lateral edge thereof. The lower shell has a lower cover and two lateral plates bent upwards from two opposite sides of the lower cover and flanked to the insulating housing. Each of the lateral plates has a clasper which passes through the slot of the wing and extends laterally to hook a side of the slot, for buckling the upper shell with the lower shell together.

Connector with two piece shells

A receptacle connector includes an insulating body having a base portion, and a shell enclosing the insulating body. Two opposite side surfaces of the base portion respectively define an inserting passage extending longitudinally and having a front end opened freely. A front of each inserting passage is provided with a preventing block. A fixing cavity is formed in a rear of the inserting passage by the partition of the preventing block. The preventing block has a guiding surface inclined outward from front to rear. The shell has two side boards against the corresponding side surfaces of the base portion. Two fixing portions are protruded inwardly from two substantially corresponding portions of two bottom edges of the side boards for gliding along the corresponding guiding surfaces in the respective inserting passages to buckle into the corresponding fixing cavities and then restrained by the preventing blocks in the fixing cavities.

Receptacle connector

An audio plug includes an insulating housing of substantial column shape, a plurality of cylindrical audio contacts made up of a tip contact, a first contact and second contact, a fixing element with two indention areas symmetrically formed at an outer surface thereof and spaced away from each other, and two isolated grounding contacts of arc shape. Each of the grounding contacts has an arc contact slice received in the indention area of the fixing element, conforming to an outer periphery of the fixing element. The tip contact, the first contact, the second contact, and the fixing element with the grounding contacts attached thereto are arranged in turn and molded to the insulating housing in once, forming as a single piece.

Audio plug

An audio plug connector for mating with an audio jack connector, includes a main member of substantially cylindrical shape with a plurality of contacts exposed along an axis direction thereof. A subsidiary member is extended from a portion of an outer peripheral surface of the main member and defines at least one terminal groove at a side surface thereof. The terminal groove extends substantially parallel with the axis direction of the main member. A front end of the terminal groove is hooked into an inside of the subsidiary member to form a fixing cavity. At least one conductive terminal is received in the corresponding terminal groove with a rear end thereof extending out of a rear end of the terminal groove. A front end of the conductive terminal is bent rearward to form a hook portion hooked into the corresponding fixing cavity.

Audio plug connector

An audio plug connector for mating with an audio jack connector includes a main member of cylindrical shape with a plurality of contacts exposed along an axis direction thereof. A subsidiary member is extended from a portion of an outer peripheral surface of the main member and defines at least one terminal groove at a lateral surface thereof. A front end of a bottom of the terminal groove is concaved downwards and passes through a lower portion of a front wall of the terminal groove to form a fixing groove, with a stopping portion traversing above the fixing groove. At least one conductive terminal receives in the terminal groove with a rear end thereof extended beyond a rear end of the terminal groove. A front end of the conductive terminal extends oppositely to form a buckling portion inserted into the fixing groove and restrained beneath the stopping portion.

A shielding shell includes an upper shell and a lower shell. The upper shell has a rear cover engaged in the lower shell, and a front cover connected to a front of the rear cover and mounted beyond the lower shell. The lower shell has a base board, two side boards protruding upward from two opposite sides of a rear of the base board, and a front board protruding upward from a front end of the base board. Two opposite ends of the front board extend sideward to form a pair of fixing boards bent rearward to lie substantially in alignment with the corresponding side boards. Wherein a free end of each of the fixing boards extends to form a fixing portion buckled into a corresponding fixing cavity defined in a front of each of the side boards for fixing the fixing board to the corresponding side board.

Shielding shell of connector

A connector has a dielectric housing having a base. The base has a protruding platform at a front surface thereof. A peripheral dimension of the protruding platform is smaller than that of the base. At least one connecting unit is mounted to the dielectric housing with contacts thereof extending out from both a front surface of the protruding platform and a rear surface of the base. A plastic shield is integrally molded with the dielectric housing and encloses a periphery of the dielectric housing. The plastic shield has a basic body. The basic body has a first cavity at a front thereof for receiving the protruding platform and a second cavity disposed inside the basic body and communicating with the first cavity for accommodating the base.

Connector with contacts having portions shaped and arranged for ease of soldering

A battery connector includes an insulating housing and a plurality of conductive terminals disposed in the insulating housing. The insulating housing defines a plurality of terminal recesses each extending longitudinally to penetrate through a bottom and a mating surface thereof. A top of each of the terminal recesses defines a locating passageway extending longitudinally. The conductive terminals are disposed in the corresponding terminal recesses. Each of the conductive terminals has a base board. A contact portion projects out of the mating surface of the insulating housing and an elastic portion elastically connects the contact portion to the base board. A portion of an edge of the elastic portion extends upward to form a locating portion slidably moving along the corresponding locating passageway so as to limit the movement area of the conductive terminal and avoid the conductive terminal swaying in the terminal recess.

Battery connector

An electrical connector includes an insulating housing, a plurality of terminals fixed in the insulating housing and a shell mated with the insulating housing. The insulating housing has a base portion and a mating portion extending from a front surface of the base portion. The mating portion defines a plurality of terminal grooves penetrating through a rear surface of the base portion. Each terminal has a fixed portion received in the corresponding terminal groove and two shoulder portions respectively projecting sideward from two opposite sides of one end of the fixed portion. The base portion defines a receiving trough communicate rear ends of the terminal grooves and outside of the base portion for receiving the shoulder portions. Thus, the terminals can be assembled to the insulating housing conveniently and rapidly during using a tool to push the shoulder portions to insert the terminals into the terminal grooves.

A microphone connector module includes a microphone with a receiving face and a contacting face, a body defining a cavity to receive the microphone, a pair of terminals fixed in the body and connecting with the microphone and an external printed circuit board and a casing including a basic portion and a front portion. The basic portion of the casing defines a housing to receive the body. The front portion of the casing defines a voice channel approximately perpendicularly communicating with the housing of the basic portion. The receiving face of the microphone approximately perpendicularly faces to the voice channel and only receives the acoustic waves of single frequency at a time, which avoids the influence of a mixed transformation of the acoustic waves of different frequency to electric signals and enhances the receiving effect of the microphone.

Microphone connector module

A coaxial cable connector includes a housing, a terminal received in the housing, a cover located in the housing and pressed on the terminal and a shell enclosing the housing. The housing has a holding portion defining a bottom board and a tubular portion extending downward from the bottom board. The holding portion has an erect portion which defines a locating cavity thereon and two supporting portions which form a receiving recess therebetween receptively protruding upward at a rear portion and a front portion of the bottom board and a passageway between the erect portion and the supporting portions and penetrating through the bottom board and the tubular portion. The terminal has a base portion located in both the locating cavity and the receiving recess and a mating portion received in the passageway. The base portion defines a plurality of protruding thorns on two opposite sides thereof rubbing against opposite inner surfaces of the locating cavity and the receiving recess for fixing the terminal in the housing.

Coaxial cable connector

A connector assembly adapted for electrically connecting with a mating plug connector includes a socket connector and a PCB. The socket connector has an insulating housing defining a front surface, a rear surface and a lateral surface. The front surface is formed with an inserting recess for receiving the mating plug connector. The lateral surface has a receiving groove communicating with the inserting recess. The rear surface has a receiving slot communicating with the inserting recess. A first terminal has a base plate received in the receiving groove and a first soldering plate exposing outside the insulating housing. A second terminal includes a fixing plate fixed in the receiving slot and a second soldering plate exposing outside the insulating housing. The PCB has two soldering portions. Two conductors are provided for connecting the first soldering plate and the second soldering plate with the soldering portions, respectively.

Connector assembly

An electrical connector includes an insulating housing and a shield case for enclosing the insulating housing. The insulating housing includes a base section of which two opposite side surfaces respectively define a groove and a recess. The groove penetrates a front edge of the corresponding side surface and slants outward gradually from a front edge to a rear edge. The recess is located in rear of the groove, with a small space from the rear edge of the groove. The shield case includes two opposite side walls attached to the corresponding side surfaces of the base section, a cut portion formed in two substantially corresponding portions of both of the side walls, an elastic locking piece extending frontward and inclining inward from a rear edge of the cut portion. When the electrical connector is assembled, a free end of the elastic locking piece slides along the corresponding groove and is gradually compressed outward and finally secured into the corresponding recess by means of release thereof.
