The present disclosure provides an electronic device for generating a multiple point of view (MPOV) video and the method thereof. The present disclosure involves the electronic device to obtain a plurality of media contents. The electronic device would identify a first media content relating to a second media content in time and location according to time information, audio information, and location information including a geographic tag and a surrounding signal information. Then, the first media content and the second media content are provided as relevant media contents for generating the MPOV video of the event having the relevant media content captured from different point of view.

Method and electronic device for generating multiple point of view video

A portable device and a manipulation method thereof are disclosed in this disclosure. The portable device includes a camera unit, a communication unit, a first switch button and a control module. The communication unit is configured for establishing a connection to a cloud server through a cellular telephony network. The first switch button is disposed on the portable device and configured for sensing a first manipulation input. The control module is coupled with the camera unit and the first switch button. In response to the first manipulation input sensed by the first switch button, the control module being adapted to trigger the camera unit for capturing an image, a streaming video or a video selectively according to a holding duration of the first manipulation input, and to trigger the communication unit for uploading the image, the streaming video or the video onto the cloud server.

The I/O interface unit is configured to build connection to an external device and transmit data of a graphic user interface data of the second application to the external device.

An embodiment of an image enhancement method is introduced for use in an electronic device. An image composed of a plurality of pixel values is first received, and each pixel therein is separated into two channels. The image is further divided into a plurality of blocks. A distribution of a selected channel is determined for each block, which is selected from the two channels. For each pixel, the pixel value of the selected channel is adjusted according to at least one distribution corresponding to at least one neighboring block. For each pixel, the pixel value of the other channel is adjusted according to the adjusted pixel value of the selected channel. As a result, the adjusted image is provided.

A method for creating a parallax video from a still image includes following steps. Image segmentation is performed for separating at least a foreground object within the still image from an image background of the still image. A blank region of the image background is filled, and the blank region corresponds to where the separated foreground object locates within the still image. A virtual three-dimensional (3D) scene consisting of the foreground object and the image background is created. The virtual 3D scene is analyzed for determining a camera path; and, creating the parallax video by observing the virtual 3D scene with a virtual camera moving along the camera path.

An electronic apparatus comprising an environment sensing device, a display, a touch sensing device, and a processing module comprising a main controller and a sub-controller is disclosed. The main controller performs a predetermined function based a touch input. The sub-controller computes a tilt angle of the electronic apparatus, and activates the touch sensing device without turning on the display if the tilt angle falls in a predetermined angle range, while the main controller is in the sleep mode. The processing module performs following steps when the display is off: determining the touch input is valid or invalid; keeping the display off if the touch input is invalid. The sub-controller wakes and activates the main controller to turn on the display and to control the electronic apparatus to perform the predetermined function according to a gesture formed by the touch input if the touch input is valid.

A method for an image capturing device is disclosed. The method includes capturing a first image and a second image; adjusting a first resolution of the first image to a second resolution of the second image; cropping a first image part corresponding to the second image in the first image via comparing feature points between the first image and the second image, for generating a third image; detecting non-ideal effects between the second image and the third image; compensating the non-ideal effects, for generating a first corrected image and a second corrected image; and calculating a depth information based on the first corrected image and the second corrected image.

A wearable electronic apparatus includes a touch panel and a processor. The touch panel is configured for providing a touch interface and detecting a swipe gesture across the touch interface. The touch interface has a first portion and a second portion. The processor is operatively coupled to the touch panel. The processor is adapted to assign a first border layout and a second border layout for discriminating between a vertical swipe and a horizontal swipe. The first border layout is different from the second border layout. An image segment method is provided in this disclosure. The method is suitable for an electronic apparatus including a first camera and a motion sensor. The method includes steps of: providing at least one pre-defined model mask; fetching pose data from the motion sensor, the pose data being related to an orientation or a position of the first camera; adjusting one of the at least one pre-defined model mask into an adaptive model mask according to the pose data; and, extracting an object from an image captured by the first camera according to the adaptive model mask.

The apparatus comprises a storage unit and a processing unit. The storage unit is stored with an image and a plurality of depth data of the image. An image processing method includes steps of: providing a source face image and a target face image; extracting facial features from the source face image and the target face image respectively; detecting feature dimensions of the facial features from the source face image and the target face image respectively; pairing the facial features from the source face image with the facial features from the target face image; and, forming an output face image by adjusting the facial features from the source face image in at least one of the feature dimensions according to the paired features from the target face image in the corresponding feature dimensions.
