A multi-camera electronic device and a control method thereof are proposed. The method includes the following steps. At least one camera of the electronic device is used for scene detection to generate photographing analysis information. All the photographing analysis information is collected, and joint photographing information including a joint target is generated through a communication process among all the cameras. An individual photographing parameter of each camera is generated according to the joint photographing information. Each camera is controlled to capture an image of the scene by using its individual photographing parameter to respectively generate a corresponding output image.

Multi-camera electronic device and control method thereof

The present disclosure illustrates a camera array correction method. The method comprises steps of calculating the gain values between the images captured by cameras with the pre-measured characteristic of each of the cameras. By such correction method, the different cameras in the camera array can capture images of the same brightness values and color values simultaneously. In addition, the huge computation requirement due to the increasing of the cameras can be reduced effectively.

The present invention discloses a license plate image-pickup device and an image exposure adjustment method thereof. The license plate image-pickup device comprises an image-sensing module, a recognition module and a processing module. The license plate image-pickup device takes a scene. The image-sensing module senses the scene to produce an image. The recognition module detects a vehicle object. The processing module adjusts the exposure of the vehicle object to produce an exposure adjusted vehicle object, and then the recognition module detects a license plate object from the exposure adjusted vehicle object, and the processing module adjusts the exposure of the license plate object.

An entered image is divided into a plurality of windows and it is determined, on a per-window basis, whether the image data within an applicable window is indicative of the color white, based upon the position of each window in the image and the continuity to its surrounding divided windows. A white balance method is performed based upon data of a window determined to be indicative of the color white. The present invention conducts a white balance process through the addition of determining the light source type weight and calculating the continuity of each divided window and its surrounding divided windows. In order the white balance process to accurately obtain the colors of an entered image even under the conditions of specific scenes with distinctive colors.

The present invention discloses an image sharpness processing apparatus and an image sharpness processing method thereof. The apparatus comprises an image capturing module and a processing module. The image capturing module captures an image having a plurality of pixels. The processing module gains a characteristic value corresponding to each pixel by analyzing each pixel in the image. The processing module calculates a first sharpening compensation value and a second sharpening compensation value of each pixel by using a first sharpening algorithm and a second sharpening algorithm respectively, and determines a weight value of the first sharpening algorithm and the second sharpening algorithm by the characteristic value. The processing module calculates a third sharpening compensation value according to the first sharpening compensation value and the second sharpening compensation value, so as to adjust the sharpness of the image.

A method of numerical analysis for continuous data includes: providing a temporary storage block, fetching a plurality of data units sequentially from continuous data to store in the temporary storage block, conducting an analysis step wherein each data unit is analyzed sequentially based on all the data units stored in the temporary storage block, recording the analysis result, performing an OR operation on the analysis result of each of the data units and the corresponding previous analysis result, and determining whether the end of the continuous data has been reached. If so, the method terminates. If not, the first of the data units is removed, the next data unit from the continuous data is fetched, and the analysis step is returned to. The method can be implemented in hardware with less temporary storage space and read/write overheads. A system of numerical analysis for continuous data is also provided.

A method for compensating image data is adapted for an image sensor. The image sensor has a plurality of photo sensors arranged in an effective region and an optical black region. The method for compensating image data includes a plurality of monochromatic light representative values Scorresponding to pixel positions i is extracted from the photo sensors of the optical black region; a plurality of monochromatic image intensity values Vis extracted from the photo sensors of the effective region; the monochromatic light representative values Sare converted respectively to a plurality of monochromatic compensation values f(S); and compensated image data Vis output after compensating the monochromatic image intensity values Vrespectively based on the pixel positions i and the corresponding monochromatic compensation values f(S). Through the method for compensating image data, a smear effect in the effective region can be compensated effectively.

Method for compensating image data

A method for reducing smear effects of a dynamic image is for an image sensor. The image sensor converts a shot image picture into image data, and the image data is divided into an effective region, an upper optical black region (UOB), and a lower optical black region (LOB). The method includes capturing two continuous image data to serve as a first frame image and a second frame image; calculating brightness difference values between individual pixels at corresponding pixel positions of the LOB of the first frame image and the UOB of the second frame image; comparing the brightness difference values with a threshold; obtaining positions to be compensated in the UOB of the second frame image, when the UOB of the second frame image requires brightness compensation; and compensating brightness values of pixels in the effective region of the second frame image corresponding to the positions to be compensated.

Method for reducing smear effect of dynamic image

An image noise reduction method based on an optimal primary-color signal is suitable for a digital camera to reduce noises in a digital image. The image noise reduction method mainly includes the following steps, taking out primary-color signals of a digital image, including taking out high-frequency and low-frequency signals of the optimal primary-color signal and high-frequency and low-frequency signals of the worst primary-color signal by using a high-pass filter and a low-pass filter; next, mixing the high-frequency signal of the optimal primary-color signal with that of the worst primary-color signal, and superposing the mixed signal to the low-frequency signal of the worst primary-color signal, so as to get a digital image signal after noise reduction.
