A receiver of a communication system includes: an input module, a group-based pre-decoding module and a reconstructing module. The input module is for receiving a received data. The group-based pre-decoding module is for combining the received data with a grouped decoding matrix into an encoded equation matrix (EEM) based on a group parameter and for performing a group operation on the EEM. The reconstructing module is for reconstructing the EEM obtained from the group operation into an output data.

Apparatus and method for accelerating the encoding of raptor codes

An Internet Protocol (IP)-based mobile TV system and a method for synchronizing the rendering of a streaming service are provided. In the IP-based mobile TV system, a plurality of mobile terminals receives a streaming service from network equipment, along with both a sequence of Network Time Protocol (NTP) time stamps corresponding to the streaming service and a synchronization clock. Each mobile terminal recovers an NTP reference clock for rendering the received streaming service according to both the synchronization clock and a synchronization time difference value, and then renders the received streaming service according to both the recovered NTP reference clock and the received NTP time stamps. Accordingly, the plurality of mobile terminals in the IP-based mobile TV system is able to render the received streaming service synchronously.

Mobile TV system and method for synchronizing the rendering of streaming services thereof

A system for downloading real-time interaction data and a method thereof are provided. The system includes a real-time interaction data management server farm, a network equipment, a carousel server, and at least one terminal device. The real-time interaction data management server farm processes real-time interaction data and manages a plurality of real-time data packages thereof. The network equipment provides a unidirectional broadcast network and a bidirectional mobile network as media for transmitting the real-time data packages. The carousel server receives the real-time data packages and transmits the real-time data packages in a carousel delivery method, a single-pass delivery method or a carousel and single-pass delivery method through the unidirectional broadcast network. The terminal device receives the real-time data packages through the unidirectional broadcast network or requests and receives the real-time data packages through the bidirectional mobile network. Thereby, the real-time interaction data can be quickly downloaded in a mobile environment.

System for downloading real-time interaction data through mobile and broadcast converged networks and method thereof

Disclosed is a system and method of dual-screen interactive digital television (IDTV), which is implemented by applying modality-independent remote console technology. The system has two ends, referred to as host IDTV and handheld device. The host IDTV includes a host IDTV content, an IDTV middleware, a host graphic user interface (host GUI), and a server-side remote console control protocol. The handheld device includes a handheld IDTV content, an interface generator, a handheld GUI, and a client-side remote console control protocol. In the invention, the DTV content may only have a dual-screen execution mode. The DTV content may also switch between single-screen and dual-screen modes.
