A temperature-sensitive cell culture composition is provided. The temperature-sensitive cell culture composition includes a hydrogel, a cellulose, a gelatin and a collagen. Based on 1 part by weight of the collagen, a content of the hydrogel is between 0.03 parts by weight and 60 parts by weight, a content of the cellulose is between 150 parts by weight and 360 parts by weight, and a content of the gelatin is between 21 parts by weight and 12 parts by weight. In addition, a method for using the temperature-sensitive cell culture composition, a method for forming the temperature-sensitive cell culture composition, and a use of the temperature-sensitive cell culture composition are also provided.

Temperature-sensitive cell culture composition, method for using the same, method for forming the same, and use thereof

A tissue scaffold for use in a tendon and/or ligament is provided, which includes a weave formed by interlacing warp yarns and weft yarns, wherein the warp yarns include a plurality of fibers with an alternative shaped cross section structure, and the weave includes: a main body area with a bioactive component formed on the fiber surface, and a fixed area comprises the weft yarn having a bioceramic material. The tissue scaffold prepared in the present disclosure has the characteristics of stimulating the growth of tissues and inducing tissue repair, effectively improving the ability of tissue regeneration and bone healing, and is beneficial to the reconstruction of the tendon and/or ligament.

Tissue scaffold for use in tendon and/or ligament

A bioprintable material is provided. The bioprintable material includes a hydrogel and microfilaments mixed in the hydrogel. The hydrogel includes a first collagen. The microfilament includes a second collagen. The diameter of the microfilament is ranging from 5 microns to 200 microns. The weight ratio of the microfilaments to the first collagen is ranging from 0.01:1 to 10:1.

Bioprintable material and method for fabricating the same

A method for preparing a bifunctional film, including: (a) drying a first polymer solution to form a film to form an anti-adhesion layer, and (b) drying a second polymer solution over the anti-adhesion layer to form a film to form an attachment layer. The first polymer solution includes a first hydrophobic solution and a first hydrophilic solution, and in the first polymer solution, the weight ratio of the solute of the first hydrophobic solution to the solute of the first hydrophilic solution is 1:0.01-1. Moreover, the second polymer solution is composed of a second hydrophilic solution.

Bifunctional film

A tissue repair device and a method for using the same are provided. The tissue repair device includes a body portion and at least one wire. The body portion includes an inner layer and an outer layer. The inner layer is close to a tissue, wherein the inner layer includes a hydrophilic structure, and the outer layer includes a hydrophobic structure. The wire is connected to the body portion to fix the body portion to the tissue.

Tissue repair device and method for using the same

The disclosure relates to a spinal intervertebral body fusion device including an adjustable spacer, a first and second pushing piece, and an operative piece. The adjustable spacer includes a first and second supporting plate. The first supporting plate portion is movably installed on the second supporting plate portion. The first and second supporting plate portions form a first and second opening respectively located at two opposite sides of the adjustable spacer. The first pushing piece located at the first opening and is partially clamped by the first and second supporting plate portions. The second pushing piece located at the second opening is partially clamped by the first and second supporting plate portions. The operative piece is movably disposed through the second pushing piece and screwed to the first pushing piece. The operative piece has an annular slot, and the second pushing piece is partially located in the annular slot.

Spinal intervertebral body fusion device

An artificial intervertebral disc is configured to be inserted between adjacent human vertebrae. The artificial intervertebral disc includes a first connection block, a joint block and a second connection block. The joint block has a convex surface and a rear surface. The rear surface of the joint block is stacked on the first connection block. The second connection block is slidably stacked on the convex surface of the joint block, such that the second connection block is movable relative to the first connection block. In addition, the convex surface is a curved surface, and the convex surface is arranged off-axis with respect to the rear surface.

Artificial intervertebral disc

An anti-curling film is provided. The anti-curling film includes a first portion and a second portion covering the first portion. The first portion includes polylactic acid (PLA), polycaprolactone (PCL), polyethylene glycol dimethacrylate (PEGDMA) and a photoinitiator. The second portion includes polycaprolactone (PCL), gelatin, hyaluronic acid (HA), alginate (AA), polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) or a combination thereof.

Anti-curling film

A low-profile offset-type spinal fusion device includes a first screw, a connection base, a nut and a compression part. The first screw has an external thread and a flange. The connection base includes a penetration part and a connection part disposed no higher than the penetration part, and can sleeve the first screw through a first hole of the penetration part to contact the flange with opposite ends of the first screw protruding out of the first hole. The nut, used to engage the first screw, has a bottom surface to contact against the penetration part. When the first screw is installed by penetrating the first hole, the nut and the flange are located to opposite ends of the first hole. The compression part is to screw into a cavity of the connection part for depressing a connecting bar tightly in the cavity.

Low-profile offset-type spinal fusion device

The present disclosure provides a method for manufacturing a porous film, including: preparing a polymer mixture solution, wherein the polymer mixture solution includes polycaprolactone and at least one hydrophobic polymer; adding solid particles as a dispersing agent to the polymer mixture solution and mixing the solid particles with the polymer mixture solution, wherein the amount of solid particles added is enough to convert the polymer mixture solution into a solid mixture; drying the solid mixture to form a film; and washing the film with a washing fluid to remove the solid particles from the film to form the porous film, wherein the weight ratio of the polycaprolactone to the at least one hydrophobic polymer is about 1:0.1-10, and wherein the weight ratio of the polycaprolactone and the at least one hydrophobic polymer to the solid particles is about 1:0.01-250.

Non-fibrous porous film and method for tissue adhesion

A method for preparing a bifunctional film, including: (a) drying a first polymer solution to form a film to form an anti-adhesion layer; and (b) drying a second polymer solution over the anti-adhesion layer to form a film to form an attachment layer. The first polymer solution includes a first hydrophobic solution and a first hydrophilic solution, and in the first polymer solution, the weight ratio of the solute of the first hydrophobic solution to the solute of the first hydrophilic solution is 1:0.01-1. Moreover, the second polymer solution consists of a second hydrophilic solution.

Bifunctional film and method for preparing the same

The disclosure relates to a vertebral body implant including a flexible main body and at least one pedicle screw joint. The flexible main body is an integrally formed single piece having at least one joint-accommodating hole and at least one opening connected to the at least one joint-accommodating hole. The pedicle screw joint is an integrally formed single piece movably accommodated in the at least one joint-accommodating hole.

Vertebral body implant

A minimally invasive surgical device includes a main body, a buffer assembly and a cutter bit. The main body includes an inner tube and an outer tube, wherein the inner tube is disposed in the outer tube. An end of the buffer assembly is connected to the inner tube. The cutter bit is connected to another end of the buffer assembly, wherein the cutter bit has a cutting portion. When the cutting portion is in contact with an object, the buffer assembly is adapted to enable the cutter bit to move relatively to the inner tube to decrease a cutting force between the cutting portion and the object, and is adapted to enable the cutting portion to be tilted with a surface of the object.

Minimally invasive surgical device

A method for ex vivo treating blood or plasma is provided. The method includes (a) ex vivo contacting a blood or plasma with an enzyme composition to react the enzyme composition with the blood or plasma, wherein the enzyme composition is capable of eliminating electronegative low-density lipoprotein from the blood or plasma by the activity of the enzyme composition, and the enzyme composition is selected from a group consisting of: a first enzyme for eliminating a glycan residue of an electronegative low-density lipoprotein (LDL); a second enzyme for eliminating ceramide carried by a electronegative low-density lipoprotein (LDL); and a combination thereof; and (b) terminating contact between the blood or plasma and the enzyme composition to terminate the reaction of the enzyme composition with the blood or plasma.

Method for ex vivo treating blood or plasma

A biodegradable sealant includes: a polyethylene glycol derivative; a photoinitiator; and a solvent, wherein the content of the polyethylene glycol derivative is about 10-75 wt % in the biodegradable sealant. The polyethylene glycol derivative is obtained by a substitution reaction, and in the substitution reaction, the polyethylene glycol is modified with methacrylic anhydride.
