A touch panel includes a substrate, a first electrode layer, and a second electrode layer. The first electrode layer is disposed over the substrate. The first electrode layer includes a plurality of first receiving electrodes, and the first receiving electrodes are separated from each other, extend along a first direction, and are arranged along a second direction substantially perpendicular to the first direction. The second electrode layer is disposed over the substrate and is electrically insulated from the first electrode layer. The second electrode layer includes a driving electrode and a second receiving electrode. The driving electrode extends along the first direction. The second receiving electrode is separated from the driving electrode and extends along the first direction.

A manufacturing method using a micro-miniature LED as a light source for backlight thickness reduction and light efficiency improvement comprising a plurality of spaced apart light emitting diode chips on a substrate. Colloid with uniformly distributed diffusion particles is coated to fill gaps between LED chips. A roller is applied to the surface of the colloid and a continuous geometric structure is formed with a cone structure in the horizontal-vertical (XY axis) direction. An ultraviolet curing device is used for optical UV curing of the continuous geometric structure to create a brightness enhancement layer.

Auto-improving display flicker method

A driving method for a liquid crystal display having a plurality of pixels. Each pixel has a liquid crystal unit and a transistor. First, a gate voltage of the transistor is changed to drive the transistor. Then, a first display voltage of a first frame is applied to the liquid crystal unit. Next, the display voltage of the liquid crystal unit is changed to a blanking display voltage of a black frame by changing the gate voltage of the transistor. At this time, the black frame is displayed on the liquid crystal unit. Thus, the long response time of the liquid crystal display is improved. Finally, the gate voltage of the transistor is changed again and a second display voltage of a second frame is applied to the liquid crystal unit.

The invention is a display panel with dot or column inversion capable of saving power, which uses shunt resistors composed of thin film transistors (TFTs) and an inverter to balance the positive and negative charge or reduce the difference between the positive and negative charge, thereby decreasing power consumption in the switch. The display panel with dot or column inversion capable of saving power includes: an inverter for electrically controlling the operating mode of a display panel; a first plurality of switches connected in series between the display panel and a data driver, to supply power from the data driver to pixels on the display panel; and a second plurality of switches connected in parallel between every two channels with the opposite polarities of the data driver outside the display panel, to construct an equivalent circuit loop according to the operation mode to be selected using the equivalent circuit loop, so as to reach the charge balance on every two channels with the opposite polarities powered by the data driver.

Display panel with dot inversion or column inversion

This invention relates to a residual image improving system for a LCD, thereby effectively improving the residual image effect. The improving system includes: a power supply for providing an operating power; a voltage detector for detecting the voltage level of an external power by comparison to a predetermined voltage level under the operating power and producing a control signal by comparing the result; and a video and timing control unit for outputting a predetermined pattern to the LCD according to the control signal so as to improve the residual image effect.
