An ExpressCard adapter able to accept a PCI-E-type or a USB-type ExpressCard in a single ExpressCard slot includes the ExpressCard slot, a PCI-E port, a data conversion unit, a switch unit, and a detection unit. The data conversion unit is connected to the PCI-E port, and converts between USB data and PCI-E data. The switch unit connects the ExpressCard slot to the PCI-E port or to the data conversion unit. The detection unit detects the type of ExpressCard which is inserted and controls the switch unit to connect the ExpressCard slot either to the PCI-E port or to the data conversion unit as required.

An exemplary guideway mechanism includes four branches each including two parallel rails, four groups of connecting blocks each including four connecting blocks arranged at four corners of an imaginary square, and four supporting brackets each connecting one corresponding group of connecting blocks. When an operator selects a signal path routing within the circuit diagram, the method can display the testing points in the selected signal path routing on a display device. After calculating the distance between each of the testing points and each of the at least one locating point, a group of distances is obtained. By comparing the distances, the minimum distance can be determined from the group of distances. The method further optimizes the order of the testing points according to the distance between each of the testing points and the locating point that consists of the minimum distance.

In a method for testing the charging and discharging reliability of a rechargeable battery, a test device measures the battery to obtain first terminal voltages and first electric currents when the battery is charged by a power supply. After the battery is discharged, the test device measures the battery to obtain second terminal voltages and second electronic currents. Based on the first terminal voltages and the first electric currents, a first lifecycle curve can be created. Based on the second terminal voltages and the second electric currents, a second lifecycle curve is created. The method compares the first lifecycle curve with a charging lifecycle curve, compares the second lifecycle curve with a discharging lifecycle curve, and generates a lifecycle estimation report of the rechargeable battery according to the comparison results.

A computer determines a first origin of a first coordinate system of a PCB, and controls a robotic arm to position a probe above the first origin. Furthermore, the computer determines a second origin of a second coordinate system of the robotic arm, and determines displacement values from the first origin to a test point in controlling movements of the robotic arm in the second coordinate system. A graph representing the test point is recognized in an image of the PCB, pixel value differences between the graph center and the image center are determined and converted to displacement correction values for controlling the movements of the robotic arm and determining 3D coordinates of the test point. The robotic arm is moved along a Z-axis of the second coordinate system to precisely position the probe on the test point of the PCB.

A system and method for checking a ground via of control chips of a printed circuit board (PCB) provides a graphical user interface (GUI) displaying a layout of the PCB. The control chip has a plurality of ground pins. The computer searches for signal path routing of each ground pin and ground vias along each signal path routing of each ground pin. If there are any ground vias having the same absolute coordinates, the computer determines that the ground vias are shared by more than one ground pin.

A method for modulating multiple-instruments and multiple-sensors using an electronic device. The electronic device controls an instrument to measure the working parameters of an object, and controls a sensor to detect the working temperature of the object. By comparing the working parameters against a predefined range, and comparing the working temperature against a predefined temperature value, the electronic device determines whether the instrument and the sensor need to be modulated. If any of the working parameters is not within the predefined range or if the working temperature is greater than the predefined temperature value, the electronic device controls the instrument and the sensor to be modulated by using a modulation transfer function and a predetermined direction.

A system and method for measuring performance of an electronic product using a measurement control device that connects to a measuring machine and a display device. A component of the electronic product is determined according to a coordinate array, and a physical factor of the component to measured is determined according to performance specifications of the electronic product. Parameters of a radio frequency filter can be changed by changing structure of each component of the filter. Material of each component, diameters of each of magnetic cylinders, density of each of conductive coils, and thickness of each of dielectric layers can be changed. A system and method for testing objects using a mechanical arm sets one or more first positions. When a user selects one or more second positions of the mechanical arm, a distance between each of the second positions and each of the first positions is calculated. A nearest first position of each of the second positions is determined. Each of the second positions is stored in a test list corresponding to each of the nearest first positions. The mechanical arm is controlled to move to each of the nearest first positions, and tests objects located at the second positions stored in each test list corresponding to each of the nearest first positions.

A clamping apparatus for securing a workpiece is provided. The clamping apparatus includes a fixing base and a first and a second clamping device mounted on opposing sides of the fixing base. The first clamping device includes stacked clamping sheets, each of which is moveable and comprises an inclined clamping edge for contacting the workpiece. A support assembly supports the plurality of stacked clamping sheets; and an operating member is slidable relative to the support assembly and contacting the plurality of staked clamping sheets. The operation member is capable of moving at least one of the plurality of stacked clamping sheets relative to another one when the operation member slides relative to the support assembly, and moving at least one of the inclined clamping edge toward or away from the second clamping device to accommodate workpieces of varying sizes.
