A transparent display apparatus and a method for driving a transparent display panel thereof are provided. The transparent display apparatus includes a first and second transparent display panels, an image processor and a display driver. The image processor receives an image signal having display data, a transparency control signal having transparent values, a first and second transparent parameters. The image processor calculates according to the image signal, the transparency control signal, the first and second transparent parameters to provide a first display signal having first gray data and a second display signal respectively having second gray data. The display driver drives the first and second transparent display panels according to the first and second gray data, so as to display a display image having all gradations between a black state, a white state and a transparent state through the coincided first and second transparent display panels.

Transparent display apparatus and method for driving transparent display panel thereof

A floating image display apparatus including a plurality of display modules, a first directional film, and at least one transflective element is provided. The display modules include a first display module and a second display module. The first display module includes a first and a second display panel. The second display module is located on an opposite side to the first display module and includes a third and a fourth display panel. A transparent display apparatus and a method for driving transparent display panel thereof are provided. The transparent display apparatus includes a transparent display panel, an image processor and a display driver. The image processor receives a display data signal having multiple display data and a transparency control signal having transparency values to provide multiple driving data. When each of display data corresponds to a transparent state, the image processor sets the corresponding driving data according to a predetermined transparent state gray-level corresponding. When each of display data corresponds to a non-transparent state, the image processor transforms the each of display data into the driving data corresponding to the non-transparent state. The display driver drives the transparent display panel to display a display frame having all gradations of a black state, a white state and the transparent state according the driving data.

A display device and a method of driving a display panel. The display device includes a color calculating unit, a color data converting unit, a display and a panel driving unit. The color calculating unit supplies a first, a second, a third, and a fourth color data to the color data converting unit according to an image data. The color data converting unit outputs a first, a second, a third, and a fourth display data to the panel driving unit. A transparent display apparatus is provided. The transparent display apparatus includes a transparent display unit and a controller. The transparent display unit displays an image frame according to a display data signal and a transparency control signal. The controller receives the display data signal and the transparency control signal, determines a first gradation and a second gradation according to the display data signal and the transparency control signal respectively, and controls the transparent display unit to display the image frame according to the first and second gradations. The first and second gradations are respectively within an interval between two of three display states including a transparent state, a black state and a white state, such that a first and second display states determined based on the first and second gradations may cover all the display effects of the transparent state, the black state and the white state.

The microprocessor outputs the image signal, and generates a control signal and a backlight control signal according to output timing of the image signal. The first liquid crystal panel receives and displays the image signal. The controller outputs a voltage control signal according to the control signal. The second liquid crystal panel rotates liquid crystal within the second liquid crystal panel according to the voltage control signal. A period for the second liquid crystal panel rotating the liquid crystal to a second angle is longer than a period for the second liquid crystal panel rotating the liquid crystal to a first angle.

The present invention provides a 3D image signal controlling method. The method comprises inputting a left eye image into the first liquid crystal layer, turning off the backlight module and switching gray levels of the second liquid crystal layer to a minimum gray level during (4N&#x2212;3)th time interval, wherein N is natural number; stopping inputting the left eye image, turning on the backlight module and remaining the gray levels of the second liquid crystal layer as the minimum gray level during (4N&#x2212;2)th time interval; inputting a right eye image into the first liquid crystal layer, turning off the backlight module and switching the gray levels of the second liquid crystal layer as a maximum gray level during (4N&#x2212;1)th time interval; and stopping inputting the right eye image, turning on the backlight module and remaining the gray levels of the second liquid crystal layer as the maximum gray level during (4N)th time interval.

An image resolution enhancing device and method for a display panel are provided. The image resolution enhancing method includes the following steps. Enlarge the image resolution of a first image to obtain a second image. Shrink the image resolution of the second image to obtain a third image. Implement a subtraction operation on the first image and the third image, so as to obtain a difference image. Enlarge the image resolution of the difference image to obtain an enhancing image. Implement an addition operation on the enhancing image and the second image, so as to obtain a fourth image with high image resolution.

A driving circuit and a gray insertion method of a liquid crystal display (LCD) are provided. The gray insertion method includes analyzing whether a current frame belongs to a dynamic frame or a static frame. When the current frame belongs to a dynamic frame, charging time of a gray insertion image is extended. When the current frame belongs to a static frame, the charging time of a gray insertion image is shortened. As a result, motion blur on the LCD can be reduced and image quality can be increased.

An image transformation method for use in a computer program product and an image display device is provided. In the image transformation method, a two dimensional image and a corresponding depth image are acquired first. A motion process is performed on the two dimensional image to obtain a plurality of motion images according to the depth image and a plurality of gain values. Then, a plurality of view images are provided and an interpolation process is performed on each motion image to obtain the corresponding view image. Finally, a synthesis process is performed on the view images to obtain a three dimensional image.
