A system for displaying images employing an organic electroluminescent device is provided. The organic electroluminescent device includes a first substrate with an inside surface; an organic electroluminescent pixels array disposed on the inside surface of the first substrate; a second substrate with an inside surface, wherein the inside surface of the second substrate is opposite to the inside surface of the first substrate; a color filter layer disposed on the inside surface of the second substrate; and an opaque frit sealing layer disposed between the first substrate and the second substrate, wherein the opaque frit sealing layer is separated from the organic electroluminescent pixels array by a dummy region and is encapsulating the organic electroluminescent pixel array between the first substrate and second substrate, and wherein the dummy region is filled up with a black matrix material, a frit sealing layer.

Image display system

An organic electroluminescent display (OELD) device at least includes a first assembly and a second assembly. The first assembly has a first substrate and an organic electroluminescent unit formed on the first substrate. The second assembly, assembled with the first assembly, includes a second substrate, a color filter layer and a patterned light-shielding layer. The color filter layer is disposed on the second substrate and has plural colored regions with different colors. The patterned light-shielding layer is disposed on the color filter layer and between the colored regions. A part of the patterned light-shielding layer contacts the first assembly to maintain a cell gap between the first assembly and the second assembly.

Organic electroluminescent display and method for fabricating the same

An organic light emitting diode (OLED) display, which includes a first electrode layer, a second electrode layer, an electroluminescent body, a phase shift layer and a metal layer, is disclosed. The electroluminescent body is disposed on the first electrode layer. The second electrode layer is disposed on the electroluminescent body. The phase shift layer has a first surface and a second surface opposite to the first surface. The second electrode layer is disposed on the second surface. The metal layer is disposed on the first surface of the phase shift layer. An environmental incident light enters a surface of the metal layer to form a first reflective light on the first surface and form a second reflective light on the second surface. The first reflective light has a phase difference from the second reflective light.

Organic light emitting diode display

An OLED display device is provided, which includes a first substrate, an OLED layer, a first blocking material, a second substrate, and a second blocking material. The first substrate has a first lateral surface, and the second substrate has a second lateral surface. The OLED layer is disposed between the first and second substrates. The first blocking material is disposed at a peripheral region of the OLED layer to connect the first and second substrates. The second blocking material is disposed on the first and second lateral surface and covers a gap between the first and second lateral surfaces.

OLED display device and method for fabricating the same

An image display system employing an organic electroluminescent device is provided. The organic electroluminescent device includes a substrate; a first electrode formed on the substrate; a first emitting layer formed on the first electrode, wherein the first emitting layer emits a first color of light, and a second color of light; a second electrode formed on the first emitting layer, wherein the second color of light emitted by the first emitting layer generates a first standing wave within the organic electroluminescent device, and the first emitting layer is disposed at an antinode of the first standing wave, such that the intensity of the second color of light is enhanced, and the second color of light is mixed with the first color of light to produce a white emission.

An OLED display is provided, which includes a first substrate, a second substrate, a first micro-structure layer, a second micro-structure layer and an OLED. The second substrate is disposed opposite to the first substrate. The OLED is disposed at the second substrate. The first micro-structure layer is located between the first and second substrates and includes a plurality first protrusions are disposed in positions corresponding to a peripheral region of the first substrate. OLED display

Disclosed is an organic light-emitting device (OLED), wherein a lower electrode, an organic emitting unit, an upper electrode, and a light enhance layer are subsequently formed between a bottom substrate and a top substrate. The light enhance layer has higher refractive index, between 2 and 3, than that of the top substrates, thereby efficiently improving the luminance intensity of the OLED.

Organic light-emitting device

An organic electroluminescent display device and fabrication method thereof is provided. The device includes a first substrate having at least one thin film transistor; an electroluminescent unit formed on the first substrate and electrically connect to the thin film transistor; a first protective layer formed on the electroluminescent unit; a second protective layer formed on the first protective layer; and a third protective layer formed on the second protective layer and in contact with the first protective layer. The device further comprises a second substrate sealed to the first substrate to form the electroluminescent unit between the first substrate and second substrate. In the device, the first protective layer comprising inorganic material, the second protective layer comprising organic material and the third protective layer comprising inorganic material are formed on the electroluminescent unit to reduce oxidation of electrodes by preventing infiltration of moisture.

Organic electroluminescent display device and fabrication method thereof

A system for displaying images is provided. The system includes a full-color organic electroluminescent device having an anode. A first emitting layer and a second emitting layer are sequentially disposed on the anode. A cathode is disposed on the second emitting layer. The first and second emitting layers include, respectively, a first dopant and a second dopant, wherein the energy gap of the first dopant is different from that of the second dopant.

The present invention relates to a tandem organic light emitting device, which reduces the driving voltage by using a non-doping material having both the electron transporting and hole transporting abilities to act, respectively, as an electron transporting layer and a hole transporting layer that are in contact with the connecting layer. The tandem organic light emitting device does not have to double its driving voltage as a result of the increasing of the number of the emitting element contained therein. However, the brightness and the current efficiency of the device of the present invention will be higher than the theoretical fold value calculated in accordance with the number of emitting element contained in the device.

An interlayer dielectric layer is disposed over the substrate. A reflection layer is disposed over the interlayer dielectric layer in the luminance region. A first electrode is disposed over the planarization layer, having a rugged top surface corresponding to the reflection layer. A pixel defining layer is disposed over the planarization layer, exposing the rugged top surface of the first electrode and defining the luminance region. An electroluminescent layer and a second electrode are sequentially stacked over the first electrode.

N&#x2212;1 interconnecting electrodes are provided, wherein each of the interconnecting electrodes is disposed between two adjacent electroluminescent units. The Nelectroluminescent unit includes a third emitting layer and a fourth emitting layer in sequence from the first electrode. The physical quantity of the third emitting layer is the same as that of the second emitting layer. The physical quantity of the fourth emitting layer is the same as that of the first emitting layer.
