A robust broadband ASE (amplified spontaneous emission) fiber light source device outputs a light beam which is little affected by temperature and radiation. The light source device is a single-pass backward or double-pass backward architecture, and has a coolerless pump laser and temperature compensated bandpass reflector. The light source device may have a high pass filtering element disposed between the wavelength division multiplexer thereof and the optical isolator thereof, so as to compensate the effect of the temperature to the mean wavelength of the light beam. The specific band of the temperature compensated bandpass reflector which reflects the light beam, and the band which the high pass filtering element transmits the light beam are within the band which the ASE unit amplifies the light beam, and the high pass filtering element mainly absorbs the light beam outside the specific band.

A water flow controlling device for a faucet includes a controlling mechanism having a housing and a casing disposed on a bottom wall and having compartment and chamber communicating with each other, a valve seat formed in the casing, a check valve device engaged in the casing for engaging with the valve seat and for controlling the water to flow out of the casing, a receptacle includes a chamber for engaging with the housing and the casing and the bottom wall of the controlling mechanism, and an actuator tube is attached to the receptacle and includes a protrusion for disengaging the check valve device from the valve seat of the casing when the receptacle is engaged onto the casing.

An automatic water flow controller for a faucet includes an outlet member, a manual valve device, one or more inlet pipes supplying water to the manual valve device, a coupling tube coupled between the outlet member and the manual valve device, a solenoid valve attached to the coupling tube for controlling the water to selectively flow through the coupling tube, and an infrared ray detector attached to the outlet member for detecting an approaching of a user within a detection zone of the infrared ray detector, the infrared ray detector is electrically connected to the solenoid valve for operating the solenoid valve to control the water to selectively flow through the coupling tube.

A mixing valve device includes a stationary valve piece attached to a cover of an outer housing and having two inlet passages for receiving cold water and hot water and having two outlet passages, a movable valve piece movably and rotatably engaged in the housing and having an outlet pathway for selectively aligning with either of the outlet passages of the stationary valve piece and for controlling the mixed water to flow out through either of the outlet passages of the stationary valve piece, the movable valve piece includes an inlet pathway adjustable to different communication area with the inlet passages of the stationary valve piece for adjusting the water temperature of the mixed water.

A faucet device includes a block disposed in a faucet member and having two passages for receiving hot and cold water and having an entrance and an exit coupled to a solenoid valve, a housing disposed in the faucet member and having two ports aligned with the entrance and the exit of the block and an outlet for supplying the water out of the faucet member. A controlling device may control the water to selectively flow through the ports of the housing to allow the faucet device to be selectively operated either manually or automatically. A valve shank may control the hot water and the cold water to flow through the passages and to be mixed in the block.

A faucet device includes a shank coupled to a water reservoir and having two outlets, a solenoid valve is coupled to one of the outlets of the shank, a faucet housing includes a chamber and includes an outlet spout. A valve casing is disposed in the faucet housing, and includes two passages coupled to the other outlet of the shank and an exit of the solenoid valve. An actuating device may selectively communicate either passage of the valve casing with the spout of the faucet housing, to allow the water from the shank and the solenoid valve to selectively flow out through the spout of the faucet housing, and to allow the faucet device to be selectively operated automatically or manually by users.
