A scanning apparatus for preventing defocus aberration is provided. The scanning apparatus includes a flatbed scanning portion and a scanning module. The flatbed scanning portion includes a glass platform. The scanning module includes a scanning module case, a light source, multiple reflective mirrors, a lens, an optical sensing element, a printed circuit board and a metallic post. The metallic post is interconnected between the scanning module case and the printed circuit board. The printed circuit board is not in direct contact with the scanning module case so as to prevent defocus aberration resulting from thermal expansion.

An image scanner having wireless carriage module is provided to overcome the abrasion problem occurred between the flat flexible cable and the transparent scanning platform. The image scanner includes a casing; a carriage module disposed inside the casing for picking up image data of an object to be scanned and converting the image data into digital data; a wireless transmitter incorporated into the carriage module for receiving and modulating the digital data into wireless signals and transmitting the wireless signals out; and a wireless receiver separate from the carriage module and being in communication with a processing system for receiving and demodulating the wireless signals from the wireless transmitter into the digital data and outputting the digital data to the processing system for further processing.

A scanning module of an image scanner for scanning a document includes a base, a reflective mirror stand mounted on the base, a shaft rotatably mounted on the reflective mirror stand, a reflective mirror member fixed on the shaft and rotatable with the shaft, and a gear set pivotally coupled to the shaft for rotating and driving the shaft to adjust the reflective angle of the reflective mirror member.

The present invention relates to a scanning apparatus with different resolutions. The scanning apparatus includes a casing, a scanning module, a reflective module, a first lens, a second lens, a first sensing element, a second sensing element and a main reflective mirror. The first lens and the first sensing element have a first resolution and are used for scanning a first-sized document. The second lens and the second sensing element have a second resolution and are used for scanning a second-sized document. The main reflective mirror arranged between the first sensing element and the second sensing element for preventing interference of the first sensing element with the second sensing element.

A light-guide module is used for guiding the incident light to a process device. The light-guide module includes an entrance and a plurality of reflected mirrors. The entrance is provided for entering the signal light. The reflected mirrors are arranged as a predetermined light route for guiding out the signal light. One of the reflected mirrors includes a light shielding structure for preventing the noise reflecting from the reflected mirror so as to prevent the noise light from entering the image sensing device and to prevent the image sensing device to process the noise.

A document feeder for feeding a plurality of paper sheets one by one includes an engaging module and a detachable roller module. The detachable roller module is detachably mounted on the engaging module and includes a frame, a paper separation roller axel, a fixing element and a paper separation roller. The paper separation roller axel is supported on the frame. The fixing element is pivotally coupled to the paper separation roller axel for positioning the detachable roller module on the engaging module. The paper separation roller is disposed within the fixing element and sheathed around the paper separation roller axel.

Document feeder

By combining a sensing module having a lens and an image sensor with a carriage module having a mirror set, a reading device of a scanning apparatus is assembled. The sensing module further includes two channels at bilateral sides of the lens and two guiding slots disposed on external sides of the channels. The carriage module further includes two linear tracks corresponding to the channels and two bolt hole pedestals corresponding to the guiding slots. The sensing module is glided on the carriage module when the linear tracks are embedded in corresponding channels, thereby correcting the desired magnification.

Reading device of scanning apparatus

The optical module includes a sensing member, a main body and an adjustable mechanism. The sensing member includes an optical sensor. The main body guides an external light beam into the optical sensor. The adjustable mechanism is disposed at first edges of the sensing member and the main body for combining the sensing member with the main body and adjusting the relative distance or angle between the optical sensor and the external light beam. The adjustable mechanism includes a first adjustable element and a second adjustable element. The unit adjustable amount of the adjustable mechanism is equal to a difference between a first unit displacement of the first adjustable element and a second unit displacement of the second adjustable element.

A mechanism for confining a flat flexible cable of an image scanner in position is provided. The flat flexible cable is electrically connected between a circuit board and a carriage and bends differentially with the movement of the carriage relative to the circuit board under a scanning platform. The mechanism includes a confining member disposed between a first portion of the flat flexible cable and the scanning platform for isolating the flat flexible cable from the scanning platform. The confining member changes states and bends differentially with the movement of the carriage relative to the circuit board under the scanning platform, and has a bending resistance greater than that of the flat flexible cable. Accordingly, the confining member is kept at least a certain clearance from the scanning platform while confining the first portion of the flat flexible cable thereunder.

An optical scanning module includes a housing, a light source and a first heat-dissipating sheet. The light source is disposed inside the housing for emitting a source light to be projected onto the object. The light source includes an electrode wrapped by an electric-insulating and heat-conducting rubber. The first heat-dissipating sheet is arranged on a surface of the housing and in contact with the electric-insulating and heat-conducting rubber.

Optical scanning module

An optical scanner for scanning a document includes a housing, a glass platform, an optical scanning module and a heat dissipating member. The glass platform is disposed on the housing for placing thereon the document to be scanned. The optical scanning module is disposed inside the housing for scanning the document. The heat dissipating member is disposed inside the housing and in contact with a first lateral edge of the glass platform for conducting the heat generated from the optical scanning module to the glass platform such that the heat is then radiated from the glass platform to the outside of the housing.

Optical scanner

A thin image reading device includes a housing, a lens installed inside the housing for focusing light, a photosensor installed on a first side of the lens for converting light outputted from the lens into digital signals, and a plurality of reflectors installed on a second side of the lens for reflecting light inputted into the image reading device to form a linear optical path in order to guide the light to the photosensor via the lens. In addition, no reflector is installed on the first side of the lens.
