A light-emitting device is introduced herein. The light-emitting device comprises a first light-generating active layer and a second light-generating active layer stacked in a vertical direction on a substrate wherein the first light-generating active layer and the second light-generating active layer emit light having substantially the same wavelength, and wherein the substrate, the first light-generating active layer, and the second light-generating active layer are formed together in a chip.

Light-emitting device

An organic light-emitting device includes a first substrate, a light-emitting structure layer, a first electrode layer, a second electrode layer, a second substrate, first conduction members, a second conduction member and protection structures. The light-emitting structure layer is disposed on the first substrate. The first electrode layer is disposed on the light-emitting structure layer and includes pad-like patterns. The second electrode layer is disposed between the light-emitting structure layer and the first substrate. The second substrate is adhered on the first electrode layer and includes a first circuit and a second circuit. The first circuit includes a continuous pattern and contact portions. The first conduction members are connected between the first circuit and the first electrode layer. The second conduction member is connected between the second circuit and the second electrode layer. The protection structures respectively form open circuits or close circuits between the contact portions and the continuous pattern.

Organic light-emitting device

A light emitting device including a substrate, a first electrode structure, an organic light emitting structure and a second electrode structure is provided. The first electrode structure includes a first transparent conductive layer, a patterned conductive layer and a second transparent conductive layer disposed on the substrate in sequence, so that the patterned conductive layer is interposed between the second transparent conductive layer and the first transparent conductive layer in a thickness direction of the substrate. The organic light emitting structure and the second electrode structure are disposed on the substrate, and the organic light emitting structure is located between the first electrode structure and the second electrode structure in the thickness direction of the substrate. An electrode structure and a manufacturing method thereof are also provided.

Light emitting device, electrode structure and manufacturing method thereof

An organic light-emitting module including a light-transmissive substrate, a light extracting structure, a first electrode, an organic light-emitting stack, a second electrode, and a transparent carrying board is provided. The light-transmissive substrate has an index of refraction greater than 1.5 and has a first surface and a second surface opposite to the first surface. The light extracting structure is disposed at the first surface. The first electrode is disposed on the second surface of the light-transmissive substrate. The organic light-emitting stack is disposed on the first electrode. The second electrode is disposed on the organic light-emitting stack. The transparent carrying board is connected with the light extracting structure. A minimum distance between the light extracting structure and the transparent carrying board is less than or equal to 125 &#x3bc;m.

Organic light-emitting module

A light-emitting system is introduced herein. The light-emitting system includes an insulating substrate and a plurality of light-emitting units electrically-connected on the insulating substrate. Each of the plurality of light-emitting units includes a plurality of light-emitting diodes arranged as a bridge rectifier. A first part of the plurality of light-emitting diodes emits light during positive half cycles of an AC power signal. A second part of the plurality of light-emitting diodes emits light during negative half cycles of the AC power signal. The third part of the plurality of light-emitting diodes comprising at least one light-emitting diode emits light during both the positive half cycles and the negative half cycles of the AC power signal, wherein the plurality of light-emitting units including the plurality of light-emitting diodes arranged as a bridge rectifier is formed together in a light-emitting chip.

Alternative current light-emitting systems

A fabricating method of light emitting element. A substrate is provided. A plurality of first concaves and a plurality of second concaves are formed on the substrate, wherein a volume of each first concave is different from a volume of each second concave. A plurality of first light emitting diode chips and a plurality of second light emitting diode chips are provided, wherein a volume of each first light emitting diode chip is corresponding to the volume of each first concave, and a volume of each second light emitting diode chip is corresponding to the volume of each second concave. The first light emitting diode chips are moved onto the substrate such that the first light emitting diode chips go into the first concaves, and the second light emitting diode chips are moved onto the substrate such that the second light emitting diode chips go into the first concaves.

Light emitting element and fabricating method thereof

A light-emitting system includes a first and second power input terminals; for receiving an AC power input to the light-emitting system; a first, second, third, and fourth light-emitting-diode groups each having at least one light-emitting diode; a first circuit path having at least one light-emitting diode from each of the first and second light-emitting-diode groups, with the light-emitting diodes coupled serially and emitting light during a positive power cycle; and a second circuit path having at least one light-emitting diode from each of the third and fourth light-emitting-diode groups, with the light-emitting diodes coupled serially and emitting light during a negative power cycle. The second light-emitting-diode group and the third light-emitting-diode group share at least one common light-emitting diode, The first and second power input terminals, the first, second, third, and fourth light-emitting-diode groups, and the first and second circuit paths may belong to a single chip light-emitting system.

Light-emitting systems

A light-emitting system comprises: a first power input terminal and a second power input terminal; an insulating substrate; a first light-emitting-diode string formed on the insulating substrate comprising at least three light-emitting diodes placed sequentially in a first direction to allow a current flow through the at least three light-emitting diodes of the first light-emitting-diode string generally in the first direction; a second light-emitting-diode string formed on the insulating substrate comprising at least three light-emitting diodes placed sequentially in a second direction to allow a current flow through the at least three light-emitting diodes of the second light-emitting-diode string generally in the second direction; a third light-emitting-diode string comprising at least three light-emitting diodes placed sequentially in a third direction to allow a current flow through the at least three light-emitting diodes of the third light-emitting-diode string generally in the third direction.

A light-emitting system includes a first power input terminal and a second power input terminal and five rectifying devices coupled between the two power input terminals. The first and second power input terminals may receive an external power input. The first rectifying device is coupled between the first power input terminal and a first intermediate contact. The second rectifying device is coupled between the second power input terminal and the first intermediate contact. The third rectifying device is coupled between a second intermediate contact and the second power input terminal. The fourth rectifying device is coupled between the second intermediate contact and the first power input terminal. The fifth rectifying device is coupled between the first intermediate contact and the second intermediate contact. The fifth rectifying device is configured to allow a current flow from the first intermediate contact to the second intermediate contact and to emit light in response to the current flow. One or more of the first, second, third, and fourth rectifying devices may include one or more light-emitting diodes, one or more Schottky diode(s), or a combination of both types of diodes.

A method for forming a pixel of an LED light source is provided. The method includes: forming a first layer on a first substrate; forming a second layer and a first light-emitting active layer on the first layer; forming a first intermediate layer on the second layer; forming a third layer on a second substrate; forming a fourth layer and a second light-emitting active layer on the third layer; placing the third layer, the fourth layer, and the second light-emitting active layer on the first intermediate layer, wherein the first light-emitting active layer and the second light-emitting active layer emit different colors of light. A method for forming a plurality of light-emitting diode pixels arranged in a two-dimensional array is also provided.

Methods for forming a pixel of a micro-chip light-emitting diode light source and a plurality of light-emitting diode pixels arranged in a two-dimensional array

A projection apparatus is provided. The projection apparatus includes a light-emitting unit array, an optical sensor, and a control unit. The light-emitting unit array is for emitting an image beam. The optical sensor is for detecting electromagnetic waves so as to generate a signal. The control unit is electrically coupled to the light-emitting unit array and the optical sensor for controlling emission of the light-emitting unit array according to the signal from the optical sensor.

Imaging apparatus having an optical sensor

A light emitting device and the fabrication method includes forming one or more light emitting modules on a substrate. The light emitting module receives an alternating current input and has at least two micro diodes. Each micro diode has at least two active layers and is electrically connected by a conductive structure so as to allow the active layers of the micro diodes to alternately emit light during positive and negative cycles of the alternating-current input.

Alternating current light emitting device

An alternating current (AC) light emitting assembly and an AC light emitting device are disclosed. The AC light emitting assembly includes a substrate; a rectifier unit comprising a plurality of rectifier components arranged in a Wheatstone Bridge, for rectifying an AC signal into a direct current (DC) signal, each of the rectifier components having a high breakdown voltage and a low forward voltage; a light emitting unit electrically connected to the rectifier unit and comprising a plurality of light emitting components formed on the substrate, for emitting light when receiving the DC signal outputted by the rectifier unit; and two conductive electrodes electrically connected to the rectifier unit for receiving and transmitting the AC signal to the rectifier unit. The AC light emitting device includes two stacked and electrically connected AC light emitting assemblies.

AC light emitting assembly and AC light emitting device

A light emitting device includes a plurality of micro diodes, which are electrically connected to constitute a bridge rectifier circuit. Each branch of the bridge rectifier circuit includes a single micro diode or a plurality of micro diodes. The light emitting device is electrically connected to an AC power source, which alternately drives the light emitting device in two current loops. Therefore, the micro diodes in two current loops of the bridge rectifier circuit emit light by turns.

Light emitting device

A plurality of AC_LED units are coupled and disposed on a single chip to form an AC_LED system in single chip. Alternatively, an AC LED system in single chip with four metal contacts is also disclosed.
