A portable device provided includes a main processor, an IO processor, a channel port coupled between the main processor and the IO processor, and at least one I/O component coupled to the IO processor. The channel port includes a plurality of channels. The main processor and the IO processor are configured to occupy one of the channels for transmitting a first command therebetween and release the occupied channel after a process is performed according to the first command.

Portable device with data transmission between main system and subsystem and control method therefor

A display apparatus, an integrated circuit and method thereof are disclosed. The display apparatus includes a frame buffer, a controller circuit, and a display driver circuit. The frame buffer is configured to retain a plurality of image frames to be displayed. The controller circuit, coupled to the frame buffer, is configured to determine whether a change in the image frames has occurred and whether a refresh time is expired. The display driver circuit, operatively coupled to the frame buffer and adapted to couple to an active display device, is configured to receive the image frames to be displayed from the frame buffer and dynamically refreshing the active display device when the change is determined or when a refresh time is expired.

A portable electronic device is provided. The portable electronic device includes a processor for providing encoding data and an LCD module coupled to the processor. The processor includes an encoder for encoding a frame data to generate the encoding data. The LCD module includes a driver and an LCD coupled to the driver. An operating method for an integrated interface of a PDA and a wireless communication system includes the following steps. Firstly, when the wireless communication system starts to operate from a standby mode, a state signal is transmitted from the wireless communication system to the PDA. Then, if the PDA receives the state signal when the PDA is in a sleep state, the PDA is wakened and an input source of an audio element inside the PDA is switched to the wireless communication system. An electromagnetic wave signal is received by a wireless communication element and converted into audio data. Afterwards, the audio data is transmitted from the wireless communication system to the PDA and outputted by the audio element.

Operating method for integrated interface of PDA and wireless communication system

A battery charging method for a device that has a PDA, a wireless communication system, and a power system having a battery and is charged via an external charging cable. The device further has an external charging circuit for charging the battery. The wireless communication system has an internal charging circuit for charging the battery. The battery charging method includes performing current charging to the battery via the external charging circuit by using the external charging cable; turning on the wireless communication system; and turning on the internal charging circuit for charging after the wireless communication system is turned on.

Circuit and operating method for integrated interface of PDA and wireless communication system

A circuit for an integrated interface of a PDA and a wireless communication system is suitable for integrating the PDA and the wireless communication system. The circuit includes a first serial port has two terminals, in which one of the two terminals is electrically connected to the PDA, and another one of the two terminals is electrically connected to the wireless communication system. The first serial port is used to bi-directionally transmit a control signal between the PDA and the wireless communication system. A second serial port has two terminals, in which one of the two terminals is electrically connected to the PDA, and another one of the two terminals is electrically connected to the wireless communication system. The second serial port is used to bi-directionally transmit data between the PDA and the wireless communication system.

A circuit and operating method for an integrated interface of a PDA and a wireless communication system are disclosed. The circuit includes a PDA-turn-on-wireless-communication-system signal line, a PDA-reset-wireless-communication-system signal line, a PDA-state signal line, a wireless-communication-system-state/wake-up-PDA signal line and two serial ports, wherein the serial ports are electrically connected between the PDA and the wireless communication system, and one of the two ports is used to transmit control signal and status data, another one of the two ports is used to transmit digital data signals. Moreover, the PDA-turn-on-wireless-communication-system signal line and the PDA-reset-wireless-communication-system signal line makes the PDA able to turn on and reset the wireless communication system, respectively. The PDA-state signal line and the wireless-communication-system-state/wake-up-PDA signal line transmit the status of the PDA and wireless communication system to each other.

A plug detection circuit. The detected circuit is disposed in an electronics device with an earphone jack, accepting plugs with a plurality of conductive rings. The detection circuit has a plurality of pins, wherein a first pin detects, and outputs a first logic potential, and a second pin detects the potentials at the conductive rings and outputs a second logic potential. The detection circuit determines the type of earphone connected to the earphone jack.

A keypad device including a parallel/serial conversion device, a keypad module, and a controller coupled to the parallel/serial conversion device and the keypad module. The keys in the keypad module are arranged in parallel. After the key is triggered, an interrupt signal will be fed to the controller. On receiving the interrupt signal, the controller will feed a drive voltage to the keypad module generating a parallel signal therein. After causing the parallel/serial conversion device to read and store the parallel signal, the controller will be able to read the parallel signal serially by using the clock signals. The status of the keypad module can thereby be obtained.

The method comprises steps of resetting the smart phone, searching for network service, operating the mobile phone system in standby mode and a PDA system in normal mode when connected to a network, switching the mobile phone system to connection mode when establishing communication with a remote terminal, switching the mobile phone system to sleep mode when the mobile phone system has been idle for a first time period, switching the PDA system to sleep mode when the PDA system has been idle for a second time period, and implementing power detection to switch the mobile phone and PDA system to off mode when the detected power is lower than a first and second threshold respectively.
