An imaging system, device, and method for diagnosing tissue is provided. The system may include one or more light sources (e.g., LEDs) configured to project light in a plurality of wavelengths. A time-of-flight module may be configured to project a modulated light, receive a reflected portion of the modulated light, and/or generate a three-dimensional time-of-flight image based on the received reflected portion of the modulated light. A multispectral camera may be configured to receive a reflected portion of the light and generate a multispectral image based on the received reflected portion of the light. A processor may be configured to identify the time-of-flight image and the multispectral image; generate a data matrix based on combining one or more portions of the time-of-flight image and the multispectral image; and cause the data matrix to be displayed as a three-dimensional image.

In one embodiment, a system for monitoring acne is disclosed. A sensor device includes an image sensor and a position sensor. A processing device receives image data and position data from the sensor device. The processing device then combines portions of the image data for different images to generate composite image data, the combination being based on the corresponding position data for each image. A user interface displays a composite image of the user's skin based on the composite image data, the composite image including a skin condition indicator.

For example, a system may include an oral care device having a first member housing a first electrode. The first electrode may be configured to transmit a first signal through a gingiva of a user to cause an altered first signal. The oral care device may have a second member housing a second electrode. The second electrode may be configured to receive the altered first signal. The system may be configured to generate an electrical impedance tomography (EIT) profile of the gingiva of the user, for example, based on data indicative of the first signal and the altered first signal. An oral health characteristic of the user may be determined based on the EIT profile of the gingiva of the user.

An oral care evaluation system may include: a light source configured to emit a spectrum of light which induces fluorescence in an organic compound, the light source illuminating soft oral tissue within an oral cavity; an image sensor receiving light generated by fluorescence of the organic compound on the soft oral tissue, the image sensor generating image data for an image of the oral tissue, the image comprising a plurality of pixels; and an image processor receiving the image data from the image sensor and programmed to evaluate oral hygiene of the soft oral tissue by assessing an attribute of each pixel in the image.
