A sheet of an artificial leather substrate contains an upper-layer nonwoven fabric A () and a base nonwoven fabric B (). The upper-layer nonwoven fabric A () is a wet-laid nonwoven fabric having a density of 0.30 to 0.50 g/cmand being produced with synthetic fibers in which the component fibers have a fineness of 0.005 to 1.1 dtex, a fiber length of 3 to 10 mm and a weight per unit area of 20 to 150 g/m, and the base nonwoven fabric B () is a layer of a nonwoven fabric having a density of 0.15 g/cmor more and less than 0.28 g/cmand being produced with synthetic fibers in which the component fibers have a fineness greater than that of the component fibers of the upper-layer nonwoven fabric A and 4.5 dtex or less, a fiber length of 2 to 15 mm and a weight per unit area of 50 to 400 g/m. The upper-layer nonwoven fabric A () and the base nonwoven fabric B () are layered, made into a single body by entanglement of the component fibers of both layers and impregnated with an elastic polymer. Thus, artificial leather having a texture similar to natural leather and a substrate for use therein are provided at low cost.

A textile fabric woven or knitted by the use of cored yarns, each of which cored yarns comprises a thread wadding, composed by a bundle of inner fibers having a high water retentivity, and a thread sheath composed of a plurality of outer fibers arranged exteriorly of the thread wadding so as to substantially completely enclose the inner fibers. The outer fibers has a high moisture permeability and a low water retentivity, and the inner fibers are substantially completely encompassed by the outer fibers in a predetermined thickness while permitted to expand upon absorption of water or moisture vapor.

Textile fabric utilizing cored yarns

A sweat absorbent textile fabric suitable as a material for outerwears including sportwears comprises a water absorbent fabric layer having a high moisture absorbency and a water permeable fabric layer having a low moisture absorbency and a high moisture permeability. These fabric layers may be integrally connected, such as by knitting or by the use of a bonding agent, together to provide a double-layered fabric structure. When in use, the combination of these fabric layer is used together with an outer fabric layer to be positioned on one side of the water absorbent fabric layer opposite to the water permeable fabric layer.

Sweat-absorbent textile fabric

A leather-like textile material comprising a multi-layered substrate having at least first and second knitted or woven fabric layers, and a leather-like covering provided on one surface of the second fabric layer opposite to the first fabric layer. The first fabric layer is made of a material having a high water permeability, but a low water retentivity, and the second fabric layer is made of a material having a high water retentivity.

Leather-like textile material

A footwear such as shoes, boots, slippers etc., comprises a three-layered structure including an outer cover, an intermediate layer made of foamed urethane and an inner cover. The inner cover has a double-layered structure including first and second layer of fabric and the first and second layer are so combined as not only to show good absorption of the sweat emitted from the wearer's foot but also to keep the surface thereof held in contact to the foot dry.
