A connector assembly comprises a connector including an insulating housing formed with a slot extending in a longitudinal direction and having at least one open end. A first circuit board is inserted into the slot and includes an electrical contact pad for electrically contacting a conductive terminal arranged within the slot, the electrical contact pad of the first circuit board extends in the longitudinal direction outside of the insulating housing of the connector via the open end of the slot.

Opened slotted connector assembly

An electrical connector includes a connector housing having a mating end configured to be mated with a mating connector and a mounting end configured to be mounted to a circuit board. The connector housing includes a receptacle at the mating end receiving the mating connector. The electrical connector includes power contacts held by the connector housing extending between a mating end having a power-in contact interface configured to be coupled to the mating connector and a terminating end having a power-out circuit board interface configured to be coupled to the circuit board. Each power contact includes a power take-off between the mating end and the terminating end having a power-out cable plug interface configured to be electrically connected to a cable plug.

Power contact for electrical connector

A power connector includes first and second power terminals having first and second contact stacks and first and second plates for termination to corresponding power element. The contact stacks have contacts separate and discrete from each other and from the plate. Each contact has a base and a mating beam. The bases are aligned and mechanically and electrically coupled to the plate. A housing has an end wall and a fastener that mechanically and electrically couples the bases to the plate. The power terminals are arranged such that the first and second mating beams oppose each other across a mating slot that receives a bus bar with the first mating beams mechanically and electrically engaging a first bus rail at a first side of the bus bar and the second mating beams mechanically and electrically engaging a second bus rail at a second side of the bus bar.

Power connector for a bus bar

A power connector assembly includes a power card edge connector and a bladed power connector. The power card edge connector includes a housing mounted to a first circuit board and having a card slot with power contacts surface mounted to the first circuit board. The bladed power connector includes a dielectric frame extending between a first end configured to face a second circuit board and a second end received in the card slot. The bladed power connector includes a first blade at a first side of the dielectric frame and a second blade at a second side of the dielectric frame. The blades include mating edges and a terminating ends opposite the mating edges. The terminating ends includes press-fit pins configured to be press-fit into the second circuit board.

Power connector assembly for a mezzanine connector system

A power connector includes a housing having a mating slot at a front having terminal channels holding power terminals between the slot and the corresponding side of the housing. Each power terminal includes a plate extending from the slot through a rear of the housing to an exterior of the housing for termination to a corresponding power element. The power terminal has a contact array of contacts discrete from and coupled to the plate. Each contact has a plate interface electrically coupled to the plate and a bus bar interface configured to be electrically coupled to a corresponding rail of the bus bar. The contacts are arranged along a corresponding side of the slot for interfacing with the bus bar.

A communication system includes a first circuit card assembly having a first PCB and a first electrical connector having a receptacle housing and a mating housing received in the receptacle housing and being movable in the receptacle housing in a connector mating direction along a connector mating axis. The second circuit card assembly includes a second PCB and a second electrical connector having a header housing holding second contacts. The first PCB and/or the second PCB includes a slot receiving the other PCB in a board loading direction. The receptacle housing is coupled to the header housing in the board loading direction and the mating housing is movable within the receptacle housing toward the header housing in a connector mating direction generally perpendicular to the board loading direction.

Circuit card assemblies for a communication system

An electrical connector assembly for a communication system includes a housing and a wafer assembly including a PCB terminated contact wafer and a cable terminated contact wafer arranged in a wafer stack. The PCB terminated contact wafer includes a first contact array having first signal contacts having mating portions and terminating ends for termination to a printed circuit board of the communication system. The cable terminated contact wafer includes a second contact array having second signal contacts and a second contact holder having a mating interface and holding terminating ends of the second signal contacts at the mating interface for electrically connection to a cable connector of a cable assembly.

A power connector includes a housing having a first terminal channel and an opening to the first terminal channel. The power connector includes a first power terminal received in the first terminal channel having a base configured to be coupled to a power element and contacts extending from the base for mating with a bus bar. The base is aligned with the opening to receive a fastener. The power connector includes a shroud slidable along the housing between an unactuated position and an actuated position. The shroud exposes the opening and the fastener in the unactuated position and covers the fastener in the actuated position.

An electrical connector includes an insulative housing with a plurality of conductive terminals mounted thereon. A metallic shell surrounds the insulative housing thereby defining a mating cavity therein for receiving a mating plug. A spring plate is formed on one side wall of the metallic shell and projects into the mating cavity. A terminal module is attached to said side wall of the metallic shell and separated from the insulative housing by said side wall. The terminal module has a body section and a conductive terminal. The spring plate together with the conductive terminal form a detection switch which can detect whether a mating plug is inserted or not.

The contacts are inserted into the receiving slots from the bottom surface of the insulative housing. the contacts have contacting portions () protruding into the cavity for contacting with the electrical plug and soldering tail portions () extending outwardly beyond the bottom surface. The cover () envelopes the contacts into the receiving slots () with the tail portions () extending outwardly therefrom to make the audio jack connector communicate with the exterior via only the front end of the cavity.

Waterproof audio jack connector

A mezzanine connector for connecting first and second circuit boards includes a number of wafers side-by-side arranged with each other and an organizer for unifying the wafers. Each wafer includes an insulative housing, a number of contacts fixed in the insulative housing and a shielding plate assembled to a first side of the insulative housing in order to shield the contacts of the adjacent wafers. Each contact includes a retaining portion fixed in the insulative housing, a first tail extending from a first end of the retaining portion for being mounted to the first circuit board, and a second tail extending from a second end of the retaining portion for being mounted to the second circuit board.

An electrical connector assembly includes a header connector and a mateable receptacle connector. The header connector includes a number of header contacts each including a contacting section. The receptacle connector includes a mating face and a number of receptacle contacts extending beyond the mating face. The receptacle contacts include a first contact part having a connecting portion, a first arm extending from a front end of the connecting portion along a first direction and a second arm extending from a rear end of the connecting portion along a second direction opposite to the first direction. The first and the second arms are aligned with each other and are configured to engage a common side of the contacting section in the header connector.

A lawn or garden rake for gathering leaves, grass clippings, twigs, etc. has a handle, a socket with retaining elements for fastening to the handle and flaring crimpable retaining elements for retaining a number of continuous paired tines. Each paired tine includes a continuous elongated beam with spaced longitudinal twists of approximately 90.degree. that divide the tine lengthwise into three portions. The tines are stacked tightly and captured in the socket with third portions stacked directly against one another. In this arrangement, the two end portions of each tine fan outwardly from the second end of the socket. A tine positioning spacer is spaced from the socket along the tines and holds their transverse spacing. At least the outer two tines on each side of are spaced more closely than the others to improve load resistance during raking. The rake is assembled in part by driving stacked flat tines into the flaring socket portion, preferably against a stiffening spring, and crimping the socket around the tines and spring to capture them, forming a tight and durable structure.
