The Phillips Smart Edge is a paint application tool with guide means, made of synthetic material and is used for painting in any standard room corner for edging and trimming. The Phillips Smart Edge is used in corners of walls and intersecting surfaces. Projecting outward from parallel (FIG.) depending bars, Metal Bars receive the ends of the roller. Preferably the application surface of the roller is arched or triangular in shape. Standard walls which converge toward each other will be able to be coated with this device. The paint is applied to the surface rapidly and efficiently with the Phillips Smart Edge.

Phillips smart edge

A split mechanical seal for mounting to a housing containing a rotating shaft comprising a gland assembly configured for mounting to the housing and forming a chamber, where the gland assembly includes a top surface having a gland groove formed thereon. The gland groove is formed at least in part by at least one raised wall portion that extends axially outwardly from the top surface. The seal also includes a stationary seal ring having a groove or recess formed in an inner surface.

To reduce the production of water from a subsurface hydrocarbon-bearing interval of a formation the producing interval of the formation is treated with an aqueous solution or sol of a high molecular weight, water soluble polyacrylamide (PAM). The polymer which is absorbed in the formation is crosslinked in situ, e.g. by subsequently flushing the formation with a crosslinking solution.
