Mechanisms for restricting playback functionality of a media device in response to detecting unauthorized content are provided, the mechanisms being configured to: determine whether a piece of media content on a media device is unauthorized content known to be obtained through an authorized channel; and in response to determining that the piece of media content is unauthorized content: cause the media device to present a warning to a user to remove the unauthorized content; and change a setting on the media device by sending instructions to a hardware processor of the media device so that decryption of an authenticity token is inhibited for all media content on the media device, wherein the media content on the media device includes a plurality of pieces of media content.

A device for the treatment of pneumothorax especially in neonates, which facilitates the simple one-hand introduction of a catheter-sheathed stylet through the chest wall and which contains a one-way valve outside the chest for the stat evacuation of the intrathoracic air or fluid. The device is capable of secure fixation to the chest wall until deemed no longer needed at which point it is quickly removable. The thoracic cavity is entered by a stylet which is surrounded by a catheter, the catheter lumen continuous with that of a lumenized dome which communicates with at least one upper port and one-way valving. One port is configured to allow Luer-Lok suction in the event of pleural effusion or hemothorax.

Ad hoc application-level connections are established between wireless devices. Autonomous selection of files on a provider device facilitates migration of a file from the file provider to a file receiver. Once a file provider and a file receiver are communicatively coupled using an application-level connection, a portion of a determined file is conveyed from the provider node to a receiver node while a connection remains viable. If the connection is severed, a neighbor node and a provider node may again recognize each other. A connection can then be re-established. Once the connection is re-established, a further portion of the file can be conveyed from a provider node to the receiver node.

The disclosure details the implementation of an apparatus, method, and system for an integrated data security layer (IDSL). In one aspect, the IDSL enables entities wishing to control users' data access, whether they are content owners, corporate system administrators, or concerned parents wishing to prevent ill-gotten data to work across their systems, to manage the access of content. The IDSL provides the ability to curb such unwanted access of data. The IDSL has the ability to obtain content information, policy rules regarding the content, and unique identifiers for the content from content providers and/or their proxies. Further, the IDSL has the ability to provide such information to IDSL clients. Such clients employ the obtained information to analyze and control access to the content. Additionally, the IDSL may act as a lookup facility to create, maintain, and update associations between a content information, policy rules, and unique identifiers of content, and any other associated information as detailed throughout. The IDSL coordinates with an IDSL database to identify interassociated items in the generation of entries regarding any related information.
