A dryer sheet including: a nonwoven fibrous first layer and a nonwoven fibrous second layer joined to the first layer. The first layer has a first layer interior surface. The first layer has a first layer exterior surface area. The second layer has a second layer exterior surface area. The dryer sheet includes a fabric softener composition. Part of the fabric softener composition is on said first layer interior surface and partially penetrating into said first layer. The first layer exterior surface is free from said fabric softening composition over more than about 60% of said first layer exterior surface. The second layer exterior surface is free from said fabric softening active over more than about 60% of said second layer exterior surface.

An apparatus includes a closed drying air circuit and a drum in communication with the closed drying air circuit. A condenser is in communication with the closed drying air circuit. The condenser includes a cooled water inlet that directs cooled water into the heated air to remove moisture from the heated air. The condenser includes a condenser water outlet for egress of water from the condenser. The cooled water inlet of the condenser is configured to receive water from a tap water source. A thermoelectric apparatus having a cold side flow device arranged between the cooled water inlet of the condenser and the tap water source is included. The cold side flow device is configured to receive tap water from the tap water source and cool the tap water below a tap outlet temperature using the thermoelectric device before the tap water enters the cooled water inlet of the condenser.

Combination washing and drying apparatuses including cooled water condensers

The present disclosure relates to methods and apparatuses for mechanically bonding substrates together. The apparatuses may include a pattern roll including a pattern element protruding radially outward. The pattern element includes a pattern surface and includes one or more channels adjacent the pattern surface. The pattern roll may be positioned adjacent an anvil roll to define a nip between the pattern surface and the anvil roll, wherein the pattern roll is biased toward the anvil roll to define a nip pressure between pattern surface and the anvil roll. As substrates advance between the pattern roll and anvil roll, the substrates are compressed between the anvil roll and the pattern surface to form a discrete bond region between the first and second substrates. As such, during the bonding process, some yielded substrate material flows from under the pattern surface and into the channel to form a channel grommet region.

Bonding apparatus and method

A knife including a cutting edge, a fixed edge, and a plurality of beam elements connecting the cutting edge to the fixed edge, each of the beam elements having a beam element extent oriented between about 20 degrees and about 80 degrees off of the cutting edge, each beam element separated from adjacent beam elements by a reduced stiffness zone, each reduced stiffness zone having a reduced stiffness zone extent oriented from about 20 degrees to about 80 degrees off of the cutting edge. The knife can be employed in a process and an apparatus for cutting a web.

Disclosed is a rotary apparatus suitable for processing and working a web or sheet of materials such as plastic films, non-woven substrates, metal foils, paper, diaper cores and the like. Such apparatus includes counter-rotating anvil and tool rolls through which the web or sheet of material to be worked is fed. The tool roll includes at least one processing tool for working the web or sheet of material. The force of the tool on the web or sheet being worked is regulated by a force applied to the processing tool or the anvil surface of the anvil roll by a force-transmitting chamber which includes a fluid. The force applied is adjusted by altering the pressure of the fluid within the force-transmitting chamber.
