A shelf slide and shelf using a plurality of such slides is shown. The slides are releasably securable to wire supports used to form a display shelf. The slides are made of an extruded material having a lower coefficient of friction than the shelf wires and facilitate the movement of product on the shelf from the rear of the shelf to the front of the shelf under the force of gravity. A universal mounting device for permitting the use of a particularly sized shelf with existing shelf support framework where the existing framework is not sized to support the particularly sized shelf. An air baffle mountable on each shelf is also shown for reducing air flow around the shelves for preventing frost formation on refrigerated products.

Security unit for attachment to the end of merchandise display hooks

As a security device to prevent unauthorized removal of merchandise carried by rigid rods cantilevered to a support member, such as conventional pegboard display hooks, a rigid platelike assembly has open end slots along one edge for engaging the display hooks and the ends of the slots can be closed off by a pivotable locking arm to hold the security device on the hooks and prevent the security device from being disengaged from the hooks by sliding off the end of the hooks. The locking arm is latched in the closed or locking position but is releasable by operation of a key to disengage the security device to be able to remove merchandise from the display hook. As a feature, a space is provided on the security device for attaching a label carrying information about the merchandise.

A self feeding peg and pegbar have a pair of elongate parallel support members extending outward from a mounting structure to a common nose, a goods pusher slideably mounted upon the support members, and a negator spring having a coil behind the pusher and a fixed end secured to the peg nose. The method has the step of pulling the pusher and goods forward with the negator spring being extended through the goods.

An adjustable work stand has fixed and hinged legs connected to a leg bracket, a table having a table bracket connected to a fulcrum in the leg bracket and fixed leg, a lock bolt in the hinged leg indexes both legs and the tables in several configurations including a plurality of table angles and a collapsed storage configuration, and a single actuator operates the lock bolts for any and all adjustments of the work stand and its mechanism.

A pegbar display device has a pegbar and a display sign, the sign is a decour frame around a perimeter of the pegbar and is formed of several lengths of an extruded plastic channel and discrete connectors, the decour frame is held in position and supported by carrier pegs attachable to the pegbar. A method of providing this display sign is also provided.

Apparatus for transporting and displaying goods has a frame having a base, a pair of opposed side frames, a shelf support post in each frame, and a vertical row of keyholes in each post for pivotal support of a plurality of shelves; the shelf for the apparatus has a center section for supporting a tray, a front barrier for retaining a tray on the shelf, a pair of opposed transverse arms and a key on an outer end of each arm, and a rotator lever on a back of the shelf; a tilt column is connectible to the shelf levers and as the tilt column goes up and down, the shelves pivot from a horizontal transport position to a tilted or inclined display position and back to the horizontal position. A tilt mechanism is articulately connected in between the frame and the column by a hinge on the frame and a hinge on the column, the tilt mechanism has an adjustable stop and a multi-position lock that enables positive positioning of the shelves at several angles, for example, 0, 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30 degrees of tilt, as the shelves pivot, the shelf levers and the column travel through an arcuate path and the column is guided through the arcuate path by upper and lower radius arms which pivot from the side frame posts, the shelves are removable and replaceable from the apparatus when the column is at its maximum height, when the column is below its maximum height the shelf keys restrainingly engage the side frame posts and provide lateral support from the side frames, the shelves may be placed in many positions and various combinations of quantities and spacings of shelves may be utilized.

A pegbar display device for presenting packages such as cold cut or cheese packages, or automotive parts, for retailing has a peg support bar and a merchandise peg; the bar is a rectangular tube having a keyhole that is taller than it is wide and with a flat bottom, the bar back member has a corresponding backbore which is directly behind and slightly below the keyhole; the peg has a front body, a toe on the back of the body, a horizontal indexing flat on the bottom of the peg, and lateral abutments between the toe and the index flat; the peg is turned ninety degrees to go into the bar; when in the bar the peg is then turned back ninety degrees and the index flat rests upon the keyhole flat bottom and the abutments engage the inside of the tubular bar to retain the peg in the bar. An information carrier is mountable in front of the support bar, and on carrier support pegs, each carrier peg has a friction lock outer end with an inward facing shoulder and a wing nut, the carrier is a display bar having a rearward facing C-section that is clamped by the shoulder nut; the carrier and support pegs are normally locked in the bar, however, the carrier support pegs can be loosened from the carrier and rotated for release of the carrier from the support bar.

A display rack has a pair of opposed end sides, a plurality of spaced apart transverse shelves that are tilted forward in between the sides and a planar back panel attached to the sides; the rack is intended for the upright display and selling of large bottles of soft drinks and the rack features a novel construction wherein the structure is made of smaller parts enabling a kit for the rack to be easily shipped and packaged, and the rack features novel high end graphics; each end side has an upper and lower segment that are each shorter than a shelf, each end has a billboard that is in two sections and each section is shorter than a shelf, and the back panel is divided into segments with each segment being of no greater width than the depth of a shelf.

Display rack

A display rack (20) for displaying cartons of bottles or packages is disclosed. Display rack (20) is comprised of modules (22) having a bottom support panel (34) and a back support panel (36) which are pivotably attached to allow rotatable movement between a folded configuration for packaging and shipping and an upright configuration for displaying. A header assembly (30) including a shelf (32) is provided for attaching advertising materials and providing space for sample products. Guard rails (24) are attached to the outer sides (26, 28) of outer modules (22) to direct shopping carts and people away from the stacked display of consumer products.
