An abrasive sandpaper system having a backing plate () with a canted outer periphery () and an off-centered aperture () for interlocking with lugs () of a power driver (). The sandpaper () has a canted outer periphery () for riding over raised edges () of an uneven wood deck. The backing plate may have a pocket () with a side wall () to receive the substrate layer () of sandpaper ().

Abrasive sanding surface

Air leakage passageways formed by an elongated sealing finger deflected through a sealable collar of a vacuum cleaner bag are substantially eliminated by the use of straddling tabs or an additonal elastic membrane across the collar opening which assure a total seal between the collar opening and the vacuum cleaner inlet fitting when the latter extends through the opening.
