In one example, a system to fill or drain a reservoir in a printer includes a controller to set a unit to a total capacity of a container divided by an integer greater than 1, a container sensor to sense the container connected to the printer, and a pump to pump, in set unit increments, at least one unit of a printing agent from the container to the reservoir or from the reservoir to the container. In one example, a memory having processor executable instructions to generate a graphical user interface displaying, during the transfer of a printing agent from a container to a reservoir in a printer or from the reservoir to the container, an animation showing a changing volume of the printing agent in the reservoir and a corresponding changing volume of the printing agent in the container.

A method for filling a reservoir of a printing device that includes conducting an unattended refill process of an internal reservoir in response to a detection of a fluid supply unit. In an example, the supply dock fluidically, electrically, and mechanically couples to the fluid supply unit to the printing device.

A printing device has a reservoir of colorant that is fillable from an external colorant supply temporarily connectable to the printing device. A selectable fill mode of the reservoir is enabled from a number of fill modes. The fill modes include a restricted fill mode in which the reservoir is filled from the external colorant supply responsive to determining that the external colorant supply can be emptied into the reservoir. The fill modes include an unrestricted fill mode in which the reservoir is filled from the external supply regardless of whether the external colorant supply can or cannot emptied into the reservoir. The printing device, responsive to temporary connection of the external colorant supply, controls filling of the reservoir from the external colorant supply in accordance with the selected fill mode.

In some examples, an apparatus can include a supply reservoir including print substance, and a rotary valve having a central rotary axis, where the central rotary axis is perpendicular to a height of the supply reservoir, where the rotary valve is in a closed position such that the print substance is unable to be supplied from the supply reservoir.

A printing device includes a door, a display, and a colorant supply. The printing device detects that the door has been opened. In response to detecting that the door has been opened, the printing device displays, on its display, current status information of the colorant supply within the printing device.

An example printing device and method of the printing device is disclosed. A print substance usage parameter is determined based on a signal provided from a sensor coupled to a refillable reservoir in the printing device. A fill level of the refillable reservoir is dynamically adjusted with the print substance usage parameter.

An example printing device may comprise an indicator to convey information to a user, a print substance reservoir to house a print substance, where the print substance reservoir is communicatively coupled to a fill port, a sensor to determine when a refill container is connected to the fill port, a processing resource, and a non-transitory machine-readable medium storing instructions executable by the processing resource to transmit signals to the indicator responsive to an indication that the sensor has detected the refill container connected to the fill port, where the signals correspond to the information to be conveyed by the indicator, and authenticate the refill container.

Examples of a user interface (UI) for depletion level selection are described herein. In some examples, a control element is displayed in a UI to select a color depletion level for a color printing substance of a printing device. A predicted cost-per-page to print is displayed in the UI based on based on a selected color depletion level. A color map for the printing device is determined based on the selected color depletion level and a separate black depletion level.

A print supply, the print supply to connect to a printing device to provide a print material to the printing device that includes a fluidic bag within a box to maintain a print material supply, a machine and human readable fluid gauge system that includes a microprocessor to transfer print material level information describing a level of print material within the bag, and a gauge display to represent the level of print material within the bag, and a near field communication device to transfer data describing a level of print material within the print liquid supply.

A print supply to connect to a printing device to provide a print material to the printing device that includes a machine and human readable print material gauge system, that includes an integrated circuit including a data interface to transfer print material level information describing a level of print material within the print supply and a display to represent the level of print material within the print supply.

In one example, collective awareness of supplies includes several operations. A remaining level for each supply in a printer device within a fleet of printer devices is measured. A predicted usage model for each supply from a history of supply usage for printed pages over time in the printer device and other printer devices of the fleet of printer devices is calculated. A system intervention event based on the predicted usage model and remaining level for each supply in the printer device is determined. The system intervention event is communicated to a responsible party.

A method and apparatus align an adjuster with an edge of media supported by a tray. The adjuster is operably coupled to a gauge that moves in response to movement of the adjuster. A sensor senses the gauge to detect a dimension of the media while the media is supported by the tray.
