A method for installing a heat exchange pipe loop in a borehole, the method, in at least certain aspects, including drilling a borehole with a sonic drill system having a head and casing connected thereto, a drill apparatus on a lower end of the casing movable by the sonic drill head to drill the borehole, pumping fluid into the casing and up to earth surface in an annular space in the borehole so that drilled material flows to the earth surface, lowering a heat exchange pipe loop down into the casing, introducing grout into the casing around the heat exchange pipe loop, and extracting the casing from the borehole.

Power generation systems with earth heat transfer

An earth wellbore heat loop system has been developed which has, in certain aspects, a heat loop wellbore in the earth extending from an earth surface down into the earth to a bottom of the wellbore, a heat loop disposed in the heat loop wellbore and extending down to a position near the bottom thereof, the heat loop including a heat loop comprising pipe and a bottom member, the pipe extending down to the bottom member on one side thereof and up from the bottom member on another side thereof, the bottom member comprising a body, a first bore through the body extending from a first opening of the body to a second opening of the body, the first opening and the second opening each sized and configured for receipt therein of an end of a heat loop pipe, a second bore having at least a one opening on the body, the second bore sized and configured for securement thereat of an end of coil tubing. Filler material has been developed for use in a heat loop wellbore that has, in certain aspects an amount of water, and an amount of a gel material, such as a polymer. An amount of thermally conductive solids may be used with the polymer and the water.

Earth heat exchange system

An earth energy transfer system with a moving energy transfer fluid, the system for transferring energy for an entity, the system, in certain aspects, having apparatus and related items for measuring an amount of energy transferred for the entity to or from the moving energy transfer fluid, and apparatus and related items for invoicing the entity for the amount of energy transferred. The system, in certain aspects, including apparatus and related items for calculating a price for the amount of energy transferred, said invoicing based on said price. The system, in certain aspects, including apparatus and related items for transmitting a signal indicative of a measured amount of energy transferred from the apparatus and related items for measuring to the apparatus and related items for invoicing. Methods are disclosed for using such systems to measure and calculate an amount of energy transferred and/or to invoice an entity for the transferred energy.

Energy systems

An earth energy loop transfer system with a moving energy transfer fluid, the system for transferring energy for an entity, the system having means for measuring an amount of energy transferred for the entity to or from the moving energy transfer fluid, and means for invoicing the entity for the amount of energy transferred. The system including means for calculating a price for the amount of energy transferred, said invoicing based on said price. The system including means for transmitting a signal indicative of a measured amount of energy transferred from the means for measuring to the means for invoicing. Methods are disclosed for using such systems to measure and calculate an amount of energy transferred and/or to invoice an entity for the transferred energy.

Energy transfer systems

This invention relates to oil well production, particularly to a method and apparatus for downhole stimulation of oil production from a well by generating cyclic shock waves in and around the wellbore. High pressure air passes through gas supply conduit (16), downwardly through pilot passage (54) of pilot valve (48) into internal piston valve chamber (58) and high pressure chamber (30). When the pressure in chambers (58) and (30) exceed 80% of the line pressure from supply conduit (16), pilot valve (48) shifts vertically, exposing the upper end of piston valve (56) to high pressure, and thereby urging the piston valve downwardly to open the high pressure chambers (58) and (30) into the low pressure chamber (32), thus creating an abrupt charge of gas into the well. The movement of line pressure through high pressure passage (78) to a position behind the annular shoulder (82) of the piston valve (56) causes the piston valve to return to its start position, and the differential pressure across pilot valve (48) causes it to move back to its start position.

Pulse generator for oil well and method of stimulating the flow of liquid

The stator for a helical gear device is formed of a plurality of duplicate disks. The disks each include a convoluted cavity having equally spaced symmetrically radially extending lobes for receiving the convex lobes of the rotor. The disks are assembled into the form of a stator by inserting the disks about a mandrel which includes convoluted lobes, so that the convoluted cavities of the disks follow the shapes of the lobes of the mandrel, thereby causing the disks to be progressively radially offset with respect to one another along the length of the stator. The stacked disks are inserted into a heated cylindrical housing so that the housing forms a shrink fit about the disks. The disks and housing are further connected by brazing, and the disks optionally have openings formed between the lobes which function as convoluted channels through the assembled stator for the passage of liquid, wiring, etc. through the stator.

The motor includes a gas inlet, a pressure regulator, a governor, a vane rotor and stator, planetary gears and a power output for rotating the bit at a proper rpm and torque.
