Composite projectiles include various material compositions, diameters, and cavities within the projectiles having a variety of cavity diameters, sidewalls, and bottoms selected and formed to induce different levels of penetration and disintegration of the composite projectiles upon impact with targets.

Multifunctional composite projectiles and methods of manufacturing the same

The present invention is directed to composite projectiles and the manufacture thereof for a wide range of purposes and applications through variation of the composite makeup of such composite projectiles. Embodiments of the invention include composite projectiles configured for manufacture using melt-flow manufacturing methods use-cases and composite projectiles having specialized performance for more effective use in specific use-cases.

Non-contact electro-magnetic actuator and method

A firearm recoil modifying device includes a cylindrical body having a rearward end, a forward end, and a longitudinal axis extending therebetween. An adapter having a central aperture aligned with the longitudinal axis is coupled to the rearward end of the cylindrical body. An end cap is coupled to the forward end of the cylindrical body, and includes a central aperture aligned with the central aperture of the adapter along the longitudinal axis. A piston is carried within the interior volume of the cylindrical body for reciprocal movement between a rearward position and a forward position. The piston includes a central aperture aligned with the central apertures of the adapter and the end cap, along the longitudinal axis. A biasing member biases the piston into the rearward position.

Firearm recoil modifying device

A disruptor system includes a plurality of launcher cartridges each including a casing having a closed rearward end and an open forward end defining a cavity. A propellant and payload are carried within the cavity proximate the rearward end. A mounting base is included, having a breach portion defining a back surface and a plurality of barrel portions terminating at a forward end. Each barrel portion defines a bore, the bore open at the forward end. Each bore receives one of the plurality of launcher cartridges. A firing mechanism is coupled to each of the plurality of cartridges.

High speed power factor controller

A microprocessor is coupled to sense the current and voltage in a power phase at a high sampling rate such as two hundred fifty-five (255) times per cycle, and to determine the power factor. The primary of a transformer is coupled across the power lines, and at least two capacitors, forming separate switching paths, are coupled to the secondary of the transformer. High speed switching circuitry under the control of the microprocessor alternately charges and discharges the capacitors, at varying frequencies, to alternately store energy from the power lines when the variable load is returning energy to the power lines, and to supply the stored energy back to the power lines when the variable load is absorbing energy from the power lines. This corrects the power factor since the frequency of the high speed switching circuitry is varied with the varying reactance of the load.
