In one embodiment, a medicament system configured to communicate information about a medicament device or about a use of a medicament device, or a combination thereof, to a user, is provided. The medicament system may include a medicament device including a housing, and a collateral device, wherein the collateral device may include an information detecting and/or receiving component configured to receive information from the medicament device and/or a sending component configured to send information to the medicament device, and optionally at least one of: a) a signal output component; b) a microprocessor; c) a storage medium component; and d) a power source, and wherein the medicament device may be configured to generate information detectable by the collateral device, or transmit information to the collateral device, wherein the collateral device may be configured to detect and/or receive information about the medicament device from the medicament device and provide information about the medicament device and/or a feedback about a use of the medicament device to a user of the system. The medicament device may further include a transmitter configured to communicate information and/or signals from the medicament device to the collateral device and/or a remote device, and/or receive information and/or signals from a collateral device and/or a remote device.

Medicament training device and system

In an embodiment, a resettable shield-activated injection training device is provided. The training device includes an outer housing comprising a proximal end and a distal end, an inner housing comprising a proximal end and a distal end, plunger retention protrusions near the proximal end, and an asymmetrical projection at the distal end. The training device may further include a safety shield slidable relative to the outer housing between an extended position and a retracted position, a plunger slidable relative to the outer housing, the plunger comprising one or more plunger rail portions, and a rotatable reset component having axial and radial movement, the reset component comprising a proximal end, a distal end, an outer circumference, and an inner circumference, a notched portion, a plunger rail interface, and an asymmetrical ramped portion in the inner circumference, and a safety shield locking tab near the proximal end of the reset component configured to interact with the safety shield to lock the safety shield in an extended position. The training device may further include a reset spring associated with the rotatable reset component, wherein an interaction between the asymmetrical projection and the asymmetrical ramped portion of the reset component causes rotational and axial movement of the reset component toward the proximal end of the outer housing, loads the reset spring, and releases the contact between the safety shield locking tab and the safety shield to unlock the safety shield and reset the device.

A resettable injection training device having an outer shell including a proximal end and a distal end, the outer shell defining a chamber there within, an actuation member near a proximal end, and a plunger slidable within the chamber is provided in an embodiment herein. The embodiment further including a safety shield having an extended locked position, an extended unlocked position and a retracted position, a locking sleeve configured to interact with the safety shield, and a reset shuttle disposed within the safety shield at a distal end of the device, wherein the reset shuttle is slidable relative to the safety shield, such that movement of the reset shuttle toward the proximal end of the device unlocks the safety shield.

In one embodiment, a resettable injection training device is provided herein. The injection training device includes an outer shell comprising a proximal end and a distal end, the outer shell defining a chamber there within, and a plunger slidable within the chamber, the plunger comprising a plunger feature and one or more rail portions. The injection training device further includes a locking safety shield disposed and slidable within the chamber, the safety shield comprising a proximal end and a distal end, the distal end for interfacing with a target surface to actuate the injection training device, the safety shield comprising an extended locked position, an extended unlocked position, and a retracted position. The injection training device further includes a rotatable plunger collar comprising a plunger collar tab for interfacing with the plunger feature and with the safety shield, wherein the plunger collar is rotated in a first direction to release the plunger from a pre-fired position to a fired position, a rotatable safety shield collar comprising a locking tab, the locking tab for interfacing with the safety shield to lock the safety shield in an extended, locked position in the fired position, and a reset component disposed within the chamber, said reset component configured to interface with the safety shield collar to unlock the safety shield during reset of the device.

A resettable injection training device having a an outer shell including a proximal end and a distal end, the outer shell defining a chamber there within, an actuation member near a proximal end, and a plunger slidable within the chamber is provided. The device further including a safety shield having an extended locked position, an extended unlocked position and a retracted position, a locking sleeve configured to interact with the safety shield, and a reset shuttle disposed within the safety shield at a distal end of the device, wherein the reset shuttle is slidable relative to the safety shield, such that movement of the reset shuttle toward the proximal end of the device unlocks the safety shield.

Embodiments of a resettable injection training device are provided herein. The resettable injection training device includes a body and a retractable shield, extendable and retractable relative to the body of the device, in an embodiment. In another embodiment, the resettable injection training device may include an injection simulation member. The retractable shield may be lockable in an extended position, and may be unlocked to retract the shield for a subsequent use of the device in one non-limiting embodiment. In another non-limiting embodiment, a resetting component may be used to retract the shield to reset the device.
