A mounting plate for a door closer mechanism includes attachment points for attaching the door closer mechanism and openings with opposing parallel linear sides for receiving spacers. The spacers are dimensioned to at least partially fit within the openings, with the spacers defining a through slot to allow passage of shaft of a screw or bolt through the slot and openings. The spacers may include a portion overlapping portions of the mounting plate. The mounting plate may have a stepped profile, with the overlapped portions of the mounting plate having a reduced profile compared to at least some other portions of the mounting plate.

A ratcheting mechanism assembly includes a ratcheting mechanism and a rotatable grip rotatably coupled to the ratcheting mechanism. The ratcheting mechanism includes a base, a reel with ratchet gears at opposite sides of the reel and rotatably coupled to the base about a reel axis, and a ratchet handle rotatable relative to the base about the reel axis. The rotatable grip rotates about a fixed grip of the ratchet handle during a ratcheting process.

A light fixture can be electrically connected to a module that can add certain functionality and/or alter the way the light fixture is controlled. A module base includes a module receiver configured to receive one of a plurality of modules. At least the module base is connected to input power. When a first module is coupled to the module base, the combination of the light fixture and module has a first range of functionality dictated at least in part by the functionality of the first module. When the first module is removed and replaced with a second module, the combination of the light fixture and the module has a second range of functionality dictated at least in part by the functionality of the second module.

The handle and knob spindle overlap one another, and are configured to move axially with one another. However, the knob spindle () can be rotated relative to the handle spindle (). The spindles are configured to interact with the retractor assembly () so that pushing the handle () or pulling the knob () actuates the retractor to withdraw the latch bolt (), or rotating the knob () actuates the retractor to withdraw the latch bolt ().
