There is disclosed a floor cleaning apparatus. The apparatus has a cleaning head portion for engaging a floor surface during cleaning, an upstanding portion for maneuvering movement of said cleaning head portion, a liquid delivery assembly, a handle portion extending from said upstanding portion and a sealed liquid storage container. The cleaning head portion includes a first nozzle and a second nozzle arranged on lateral opposite ends for forward discharging of cleaning detergent therefrom. The liquid delivery assembly is configured to prevent, or at least minimize, undesirable leaking from the nozzles regardless of the orientation of the apparatus or the assembly.

Floor cleaning apparatus and liquid delivery assembly for use in floor cleaning apparatus

A surface cleaning device, such as a floor mop, has a handle via which a user holds on to the device and maneuvers the device during use, a head to which the handle connects, a base at which the head is secured and is situated, in normal use, below the head. The base is provided with, in normal use, a lower surface for engaging a surface to be cleaned via a removable or disposable substrate material, wherein the base is provided with a plurality of grippers for securing the disposable substrate material, the base and the grippers belong to an integral component.

Cleaning device

The invention relates to a mechanism for driving the head of an electric toothbrush. The mechanism includes a camrotatably driven by a motorand an elongate transfer mechanismhaving a receiverfor receiving the cam at one end and a mechanism for transferring oscillatory motion to a toothbrush headat the other end thereof. Camhas a projecting headwhich is received in a substantially rectangular apertureof the receiver. The long side of the substantially rectangular aperture has a length equal to or greater than the diameter of the circular motion of the projecting head, the short side has a length less than the long side of the rectangular aperture. Thus, in use, circular motion of the projecting head of the cam is converted into oscillatory pivoting motion of the transfer memberby action of the projecting headagainst the short sides of the substantially rectangular aperture. A tooth and gear arrangement for converting pivoting motion of the transfer memberinto rotational motion of the toothbrush headis also described.

Electric toothbrush

A cleaning implement includes a cleaning head having on a bottom a cleaning operation surface, a holding portion arranged on the side opposite the cleaning head, a pipe for coupling the cleaning head and the holding portion, and a valve opening and closing device provided to the pipe so as to be able to hold a first container for receiving a first fluid or a second container for receiving a second fluid. The holding portion includes a lever coupled to the valve opening and closing device so as to open and close a first valve of the first container or a second valve of the second container. A spout of a second ejection nozzle for ejecting the second fluid containing an allergen inactivator is located, for example, at a height of about 30 cm or more from the floor.

Cleaning implement

A cleaning implement includes a cleaning head having on the bottom a cleaning operation surface and a valve opening and closing device that is connected to the cleaning head and can hold a first container for receiving a first fluid or a second container for receiving a second fluid. The cleaning implement further includes a first circulation path through which the first fluid is ejectable from the cleaning head and a second circulation path through which the second fluid is ejectable by interrupting the first circulation path.

A cleaning implement includes a cleaning head having a cleaning operation surface on a bottom, a holding portion arranged on the side opposite the cleaning head, a pipe for coupling the cleaning head and the holding portion, and a valve opening and closing device provided to the pipe so as to be able to hold a first container for receiving a first fluid or a second container for receiving a second fluid. The holding portion includes a lever coupled to the valve opening and closing device so as to open and close a first valve of the first container or a second valve of the second container. A first ejection nozzle can eject the first fluid forward of the cleaning head, and a second ejection nozzle can eject the second fluid rearward of the cleaning head.

A cleaning device with a squirter for squirting liquid forward of a cleaning head is provided. The cleaning head may have a nozzle head whose squirt surface is curved. In the nozzle head, squirt directions of nozzles, which are arranged to fan out at a squirt angle, may be substantially perpendicular to tangents to the squirt surface. Therefore, liquid squirted from the nozzles may fly straight along the squirt directions without being drawn to the squirt surface.

Cleaning device with squirter

The present invention provides a fluid transfer fitment for controllably retaining a fluid in a reservoir in a leak-tight manner. This fluid transfer fitment can be used with a variety of fluid delivery mechanisms. The fluid transfer fitment has a cap portion, an engaging segment, a fluid transfer check valve and a vent check valve. The fluid transfer check valve of the fitment is located within the engaging segment of the fitment. The present invention also provides fluid delivery mechanisms, which can be used with a cleaning implement. The fluid delivery mechanisms can be used with a fitment having a cap portion, an engaging segment and a fluid transfer check valve.

Fluid delivery mechanism

The present invention provides an actuating device suitable for remotely actuating a tool which can be the fluid delivery mechanism of a cleaning implement. The actuating device has a flexible tape attached at one end to a spring-loaded spool mechanism connected to a trigger where the spring loaded spool mechanism is located within a housing for holding the device. The tape is threaded through at least one pole segment and is attached to a tool which can be actuated by a pulling or pushing motion of the tape. The present invention also provides a pair of electric cables which are attached at one end to the spring-loaded spool and at the other end to an electric tool or device such as a motor for driving a pump. An electric switch, which is located on the housing of a pistol-grip, is used to close the electric circuit formed by the pair of cables.
