A refrigerator includes a first refrigeration cycle unit that is configured to circulate a first refrigerant and that includes a first compressor, a first condenser, a first expansion device, and a first evaporator, a second refrigeration cycle unit that is configured to circulate a second refrigerant and that includes a second compressor, a second condenser, a second expansion device, and a second evaporator, a first valve unit installed at an outlet side of the first compressor, and a first hot gas path configured to extend from the first valve unit to the second evaporator and configured to supply the first refrigerant to the second evaporator.

A refrigerator includes a compressor that is configured to compress a refrigerant, a condenser that is configured to condense the refrigerant compressed in the compressor, an expander that is configured to depressurize the refrigerant condensed in the condenser, a first evaporator provided at one side of a refrigerator compartment, and that is configured to evaporate the refrigerant depressurized in the expander, a second evaporator provided at one side of a freezer compartment, and that is configured to evaporate the refrigerant depressurized in the expander, a valve unit provided at an outlet pipe of the condenser, and that is configured to introduce the refrigerant into at least one of the first or second evaporators, and a hot gas path that connects the valve unit to the second evaporator, and that is configured to guide flow of the refrigerant that has passed through the condenser.

A method of controlling a refrigerator includes starting a first cooling cycle to cool a first storage compartment by operating a compressor and a first fan, determining whether a start condition of a second cooling cycle to cool a second storage compartment is satisfied, operating a second fan for the second storage compartment when the start condition of the second cooling cycle is satisfied, determining whether an output change condition of the second fan is satisfied while the second fan operates, and changing a speed of the second fan when the output change condition of the second fan is satisfied.

A control method for a refrigerator comprises driving a first cooling fan to cool a first storage chamber; adjusting a damper to cause cold air to simultaneously flow through first and second cold-air passages; adjusting a damper to reduce the opening angle of the first cold-air passage, when the temperature of a high-temperature chamber reaches a value smaller than or equal to a second reference temperature for the high-temperature chamber; adjusting a damper to reduce the opening angle of the second cold-air passage, when the temperature of a low-temperature chamber reaches a value smaller than or equal to a second reference temperature for the low-temperature chamber; and driving a second cooling fan to cool a second storage chamber. When a predetermined time elapses or the sensed temperature of the high-temperature chamber reaches a first set temperature, the damper is adjusted to increase the opening angle of the first cold-air passage.

Control method for refrigerator

A refrigerator includes a compressor that is configured to compress refrigerant. The refrigerator further includes a condenser that is configured to condense compressed refrigerant. The refrigerator further includes a first expander that is configured to depressurize condensed refrigerant. The refrigerator further includes an evaporator that is configured to evaporate depressurized refrigerant. The refrigerator further includes a first valve unit that is located at an outlet side of the compressor and that is configured to guide compressed refrigerant from the compressor to the condenser. The refrigerator further includes a second valve unit that is located at an outlet side of the condenser and that is configured to guide condensed refrigerant from the condenser to the evaporator. The refrigerator further includes a hot gas path that is connected to the first valve unit and that is configured to supply compressed refrigerant from the compressor to the evaporator.

A refrigerator and a method of controlling a refrigerator are provided. The refrigerator may include a machine room defined in or at one side of a storage compartment, a base that defines a bottom surface of the machine room, a compressor seated on the base to compress a refrigerant, a condenser that condenses a refrigerant compressed in the compressor, the condenser being disposed on or at one side of the compressor, a drain pan disposed on the base to store condensed water generated in the condenser, and a fan assembly coupled to the base to generate an air flow within the machine room. A fan assembly according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention includes: a hub; and a plurality of blades including a leading edge corresponding to a side hit by air and a trailing edge corresponding to an opposite side of the leading ledge, the plurality of blades configured to be extended radially from an outer peripheral surface of the hub, wherein each of the plurality of blades includes a first part extended radially from the outer peripheral surface of the hub, a bent part stepped on the end of the first part, and a second part further extended radially on the end of the bent part.
