A method for applying a coating to a surface of a material while using electrophotography. According to this invention, a supporting material provided with a photoconductive layer has an electrostatic charge pattern, a coating material is applied to the supporting material with the aid of electrostatic forces, and the coating material is applied to the subject to be coated. In order to produce high-quality surface coatings, according to this invention, at least the duromer constituents including a resin and a hardener are applied, together or in succession, as a coating material to the supporting material.

A method for applying an edge protector to a plate made of a brittle material, such as glass or a glass-ceramic or ceramic material, in particular a cooking surface. The edge protector can be applied to a plate made of a brittle material without expensive tools and without prefabricated frame elements because the plate is positioned, with the top leading, in a lower tool element, and an upper tool element is placed on the lower tool element with the positioned plate. A hollow space, which is open toward the top of the upper tool element and defines the shape of the edge, is delimited by the lower tool element and the upper tool element in the area of the edge of the plate. A cold-setting sealing compound is metered into the hollow space, and the plate, together with the edge protector, is removed from the tool following the setting of the sealing compound.

A mounting for a cooking surface held at its periphery by at least one support part comprising a fiberglass reinforced duromer or thermosetting resin selected from the group consisting of an unsaturated polyester resin, a melamine resin, a phenol resin, and an epoxy resin, wherein the fiberglass reinforcement are glass fibers having a length of 15 mm to 65 mm.

A stove top assembly comprises a cooking plate having a perimeter portion and a mounting frame around the perimeter portion. In the improvement, the frame includes a lateral carrier member and an upstanding retention member extending extending away from the carrier member. The retention member and the perimeter portion define an upwardly-opening space therebetween and foam substantially fills the space and adheres to the retention member and to the perimeter portion, thereby affixing the plate and the frame to one another. A new method for making a stove top assembly includes positioning the cooking plate in the mounting frame to define an upwardly-opening space around the perimeter portion and between the perimeter portion and the retention member. Substantially all of the space is filled with reactive adhesive foam, thereby affixing the cooking plate and the mounting frame to one another.

Stove top assembly and related method

A mounting arrangement for a cooking surface is provided. The mounting arrangement is mounted in a cut-out of a work plate in the top of a kitchen range. The mounting arrangement includes a one-piece frame connected to an assembly unit to form a sub-assembly. The cooking surface is supported on a supporting section of either one of the frame or the assembly unit. The frame can be joined to the assembly unit in a simple manner by providing catch projections and catch receptacles on both the frame and the assembly unit in order to form a catch connection. The frame and the assembly unit form a one-piece sub-assembly, being connected to each other via the catch connection formed by the catch projections and catch receptacles.

Disclosed is a mounting arrangement for a cooking plate having a perimeter edge. The arrangement includes the plate and a frame around the plate, the frame having a support portion extending over the perimeter edge and a rib extending away from the support portion. In the improvement, the perimeter edge and the rib define a space between them and the space is filled with reaction foam. A related method for mounting a cooking plate and a mounting support to one another includes the steps of constructing a mounting support having a support portion and a rib and providing a cooking plate having a perimeter edge. The cooking plate and the mounting support are placed against one another so that the cooking plate and the rib have a space between them. The space is filled with reaction foam, preferably by injecting such foam through a nozzle.

The present invention relates to a switchboard cabinet comprising a box-like cabinet body with an opening, a door which seals the opening of the cabinet, and a door frame provided in the opening of the cabinet connected to the inner panels of the cabinet body, whereby when the door is closed, a frame sealing member in the door frame bears against a sealing element provided inside the door, and the door is provided with a continuous inwardly bent perimeter flange at a right angle to the surface of the door. The joint between the cabinet body and the door, when it is closed, may be completely sealed from the weather by means of a cover strip fastened in a recess between the cabinet body and door frame which extends over and beyond the door and has a sealing lip which seals against the perimeter flange of the cabinet door, so that the cabinet is suitable for outdoor installation.
