A device for withdrawing a liquid from a sealed glass ampoule includes a frame holding the sealed glass ampoule in upright or slightly inclined position, such that a tip of the ampoule points upwardly. An element is provided which will press or knock against the side of the tip or neck of the ampoule in order to break the tip of the ampoule in the region of the neck. The device further includes a withdrawing element which can be introduced into the glass ampoule in an area between the bottom of the ampoule and the surface of the liquid therein, and which includes a cannula for withdrawing the liquid.

In a gas mixing system for producing high-precision, continuous streams of mixed gas consisting of a plurality of individually metered gas components, with an individual gas line including a pressure reducing element and, if desired, a precision pressure regulator for each gas component, precision is further improved by providing that each gas line lead to a separate valve which is timed by electronic control means, the valves being connected at the input side via a jointly vented system of lines for pressure equalization, and communicating at the output side via a mixed gas line with a mixing chamber downstream thereof.

In a glass ampoule for holding a drug, a calibration liquid or a quality control liquid, whose bottom is flat or recessed towards the interior of the ampoule, the bottom area is shaped and/or coated such that a predefined breaking site is provided, which can be mechanically destroyed with little use of force.

For the purpose of automatically drawing a liquid from a sealed glass ampoule the latter is held in a support in upright position with the ampoule bottom facing upwards, and the bottom is destroyed mechanically by inserting a withdrawing element. The liquid content of the ampoule is then sucked from a splinter-free zone of the glass ampoule.

In order to avoid dead volumes in a valve for control of a branch line departing from the main line in a valve chamber located in a valve housing, the valve chamber contains an elastomer part provided with a main channel and a branch channel departing from it, and the two ends of the main channel are sealingly connected with the main lines. The free end of the branch channel is sealingly connected with the branch line, and further that a valve lifter be provided in the valve housing, which acts on the branch channel in the branch-off area directly adjacent to the main channel of the elastomer part, thus reducing the cross-section of the branch channel, which is held in place by a counterpiece in the valve housing.

An analyzing device, in particular for examining body fluids, with a measuring module, at least one gas feed tube for a calibrating gas, a moistening device for the calibrating gas as well as a washing water tube connectable to the measuring channel of the measuring module, is simplified and improved in that the moistening device for the calibrating gas is integrated in the washing water conduit through a water inlet and a water outlet. The calibrating gas can be led over the water surface in the moistening device and moistened in this way.

An analyzing apparatus for the purpose of analyzing samples of body fluids, comprising a sample feeding device and a measuring channel in which measuring probes are contained. In order to attain good reproducibility and uniform conditions of treatment of the samples the measuring channel is separated by means of a valve from a storage tank communicating with the sample feeding device.
