An agricultural machine including a carrying vehicle and plural work units configured to cut a standing product. The agricultural machine includes at least two pivotable front work units arranged, during work and viewed in a direction of forward travel of the carrying vehicle, at a front of the carrying vehicle, and at least two lateral work units arranged, during work, on either side of a work area of the front work units. The front work units and the lateral work units can be moved with respect to the carrying vehicle and can pivot in mutually opposite directions with respect to each other, to occupy a transport position or a work position. In the work position, a work area of a first front work unit partially overlaps a work area of a second front work unit. At least one of the front work units is connected to a height adjustable front hitching device of the carrying vehicle.

An agricultural machine fitted with a chopping device. The chopping device includes a guard, at least three chopping members disposed above the guard and that are linked thereto to pivot around a shaft directed upwards, and transmission elements that rotate the chopping members around the respective shafts. Among the chopping members at least two adjacent chopping members rotate in opposite directions converging towards the front. The distance separating the rotary shafts of two adjacent chopping members rotating in opposite directions converging towards the front is greater than at least a distance separating the rotary shafts of two adjacent chopping members having directions of rotation that do not converge towards the front. The arrangement of the chopping members in this manner can be used advantageously to improve the removal of the chopped product towards the rear of the chopping device.

A cutting device including a gearbox of an upper part, a lower part, and a front piece, the front piece having a thickness greater than the thickness of the upper part. At least one guide bearing is connected to the gearbox by assembly elements. At least one cutting member is connected to the gearbox by the guide bearing, the cutting member being driven in rotation during work about an upwardly directed axis. And, at least one assembly element is anchored in the front piece of increased thickness, attachment of the guide bearing being thus improved.

A cutting element for a rotary cutting machine comprising several adjacent cutting members each of which is intended, during work, to rotate about an upwardly directed respective axis. The cutting element comprises an active zone intended to cut plants and a connecting zone intended to connect the cutting element to a support of a respective one of the cutting members of the cutting machine. The connecting zone has, in cross section, a relatively flat central part, a first edge inclined toward one side of a plane of extension of the central part, and a second edge inclined toward the other side of the plane of extension.
