A bearing device having a bearing which rotatably supports a shaft, and a safety bearing () which receives the shaft in the event of a failure of the bearing. The aim of extending the service life of the safety bearing in the bearing device described above is achieved according to the invention in that a bearing race () of the safety bearing () facing the shaft comprises a lateral surface () having a convex contour () facing toward the shaft.

A wheel bearing having fixed part accommodating the brake caliper. The fixed part of the wheel bearing is connected to the wheel carrier by connecting elements. At least one projection is integrated with the fixed part, the wheel carrier or the connecting element. The projection transmits to the wheel carrier at least the torque acting in the fixed part during braking.

Connection between a wheel bearing and a wheel carrier

Wheel bearing comprising a rotating part and a stationary flange, and rolling contact elements arranged between them. A brake caliper is supported on the stationary flange. At least one sensor is arranged on the stationary flange. The sensor measures the braking force by measuring the change in length in the material of the stationary flange in the flow of force between first fastening openings for receiving the brake caliper and a form-locking connecting element for connecting to a wheel carrier.

Wheel bearing with sensors

Wheel-bearing and brake-disk unit designed such that forces (deformations) when the rim is being screwed on largely avoid resulting axial run-out in the brake disk. The bearing flange to which the rim and pot-shaped part of the brake disk are attached has first fastening openings and a larger diameter in the regions of the first openings and a smaller diameter between adjacent first openings. The pot-shaped part of the brake disk has second fastening openings and a larger diameter in the regions of the second openings and a smaller diameter between adjacent second openings.

Wheel bearing with brake disk

A rolling bearing which has as rolling bearing components one bearing race with a first running surface, a second bearing race with a second running surface opposed to the first surface, and rolling elements arranged between the running surfaces. At least one sensing unit is integrated into the rolling bearing components. The sensing unit can be interrogated by radio via antennas or can be connected to an interrogator by a cable. The sensing unit uses at least one component operating on the SAW or BAW principle to sense changes in length and/or changes in temperature in the material of the rolling bearing component and sends the result of the measurement after the arrival of a radio signal via the antenna or via a cable.
