The invention relates to a replaceable die for pliers to press workpieces, such as for crimping pliers for pressing electrical connector elements. By replacing the die, the pliers can be adapted to the press operation to be performed, such as adapting a crimping pliers to different types and sizes of the connector elements to be pressed. The die according to the invention comprises a first and a second die half that can be inserted into the pliers together and removed from the pliers together. The two die halves each have a guide for this purpose. Both die halves each further have a first connecting element for releasably attaching the die to the pliers. Both die halves finally each have a second connecting element for releasably attaching the die to a storage fixture. This ensures that the die formed by the two die halves is held in the storage fixture during or after removal from the pliers, and remains therein for storage.

The present invention relates to a positioning device for positioning an element to be crimped in a crimping tool, for example a wire end sleeve or an electrical connecting plug. The invention further relates to a crimping tool for crimping a connecting element to be situated in a pressing axis. To allow the element that will be crimped to be brought into the pressing axis, the positioning device has a retaining unit for retaining, about its periphery, the element that will be crimped. The retaining unit has a retaining opening which encompasses the pressing axis coaxially. The positioning device further permits the positioning of the element that will be crimped within the pressing axis, in order, in particular, to ensure the necessary insertion depth of the element to be crimped in the crimping tool. For this purpose, the positioning device of the invention has an axial stop, with which the position in the pressing axis of the element to be crimped can be defined. According to the invention, the size of the retaining opening of the retaining unit can be adjusted coaxially in relation to the pressing axis. The size of the retaining opening can therefore be increased and decreased, with a center axis of the retaining opening coinciding with the respective pressing axis. Moreover, the axial stop is displaceable along the pressing axis, allowing different distances from the crimping tool to be realized.

A crimping tool has crimping dies arranged in a star shape directed at a crimping region and subjected to rotational action radially outwards for the crimping movement by means of an actuating part. The crimping dies are mounted about an axis of rotation transversely to the longitudinal extent thereof for pivoting-in and form an abutment region on the crimping region side of the axis of rotation. A radial movement and/or circumferential movement is brought about to coincide with the rotational action on the crimping dies, in order to obtain abutment of a crimping die in the abutment region thereof against the counter-abutment region of another crimping die adjacent to the crimping die in the pivoting direction or counter-pivoting direction.

Crimping tool

The invention relates to a pair of hand-operated pliers (), in particular pressing pliers, with jaws () and hand levers (), wherein the jaws () are pivotable around a preferably common rotational axis (x). Furthermore, one hand lever () is connected by a joint to one of the jaws (), and a pressure support is located between the hand levers () for the formation of a toggle (K). In order to further improve a tool of this type, particularly with respect to the design of the pressure support, it is proposed that the pressure support consist of a support roller () arranged on one hand lever (), and of a curved section () which is attached to the other hand lever () and which works together with the support roller ().

Hand-operated pliers

A double crimping tool for fastening an electrical conductor with insulation to a contact element, which includes a front crimping unit with a front drive cam plate and front crimping stamps for forming a front press section in the region of the stripped end of the conductor; and a rear crimping unit with a rear drive cam plate and rear crimping stamps for forming a rear press section in the region of the insulation of the conductor. The crimping stamps are displaced by rotation of the drive cam plates. By levers the two drive cam plates are connected to a shared force introduction element such that during the pressing procedure at first optionally the front or the rear drive cam plate is rotated by a predefined initial pressing angle while the other drive cam plate is made to rotate only after the first drive cam plate has attained the initial pressing angle.

Double crimping tool

A crimping pliers has a movable plier leg coupled to a fixed plier leg and a curved body in a head part of the pliers. Movable crimping punches are located in a pivoting plunger which is enclosed in the curved body. An adjusting and setting device having a threaded bush, a threaded spindle, a setting wheel, a fine scale and a rough scale is located on the fixed plier leg. The adjusting and setting device pivots the curved body allowing precise adjustment of the crimping punches via control cams in the curved body.

A crimping tool for crimping lead end sleeves, contact sockets, or plugs on the electrical conductors, two crimping jaws arranged in a tool head section for performing crimping, pivotably mounted and axially fixed in the tool head section, and forming a crimping aperature of adjustable cross-section, the crimping jaws on their outer peripheral surfaces receiving a pivot lever and are bringable into and out of a crimping position by a pivoting drive movement of the pivot lever, a toggle lever mechanism driven by the handles and effecting the pivoting drive movement of the pivot lever, for a force-stroke compensation between parts of a force transmission system, the crimping jaws in a region of their crimping profile being formed by a die surface and a sliding surface, the die surfaces of the crimping jaws forming a die profile of closed shape in all crimping position within an adjustable crimping range, the sliding surface of each of the crimping jaws being in planar contact with the die surface of an adjacent one of the crimping jaws, extending a plane of the adjacent die surface, the handles including a fixed handle formed as a compensating spring for force-stroke compensation between the parts of the force transmission system, and an elastic lever integrated and fixed in the fixed handle and mechanically linked with one lever arm of the toggle joint mechanism.

A tool for crimping contact elements of electrical conductors and formed as pliers has main levers, pressing or mouth jaws which are formed on the main levers and closed in an effective region parallel, handles operative for bringing the pressing or mouth jaws to an opening position and also to a closing or pressing position, the both main levers which carry the pressing and mouth jaws being formed each as a one-arm lever which has an end opposite to the pressing and mouth jaws, a hinge pin turnably connecting the one-arm levers with one another at the ends, and an actuating lever associated with a movable main lever, formed as an angular lever and supported in an arm part of the immovable main lever, the actuating lever being drivingly connected with the movable main lever in a region of its pressing end mouth jaw via a lever element.

A hand crimping tool for crimping and notching of sleeve connectors, such as lead end sleeves and the like for electrical conductors has a head composed of flat part, a pressing unit arranged between the parts and composed of a relatively fixed pressing jaw and a pressing jaw which is movable relative to the fixed pressing jaw, both the pressing jaws being provided with a pressing profile, lateral cover plates which form the head and provides full-surface guiding and covering the pressing jaws, the cover plates extending approximately to a front end side of the head, at least one of the cover plates in a symmetry region of the pressing profile of the pressing jaws being provided laterally with a window-shape, forwardly open recess, the both pressing jaws in their laterally accessible regions having an acting profile with tooth tips which are removed by a predetermined value X and laterally open and accessible.
