Wiper circuit system for motor vehicles

In a circuit arrangement for a reversible electric motor for directly driving a windshield wiper the motor is operated at reduced rotational speed in predetermined angular ranges to ensure smooth starting and stopping in the reversing positions and an accurate parking position.

Windshield wiper speed control arrangement

A windshield wiper assembly comprising two windshield wipers each driven by a separate motor is described in which a control provides switching signals for switching on and off the wiper motors so as to achieve relatively smooth running of the wipers. In particular wiping areas one motor is continuously switched on and only the other motor, in dependence on the difference of the angular positions of the two wipers, is controlled such that collision of the wipers is prevented when the wiping areas overlap.

Windshield wiper control

In a so-called stop-start device for a motor vehicle engine particular consuming devices in the motor vehicle are changed over to a mode of operation with a lower current consumption, when the engine is switched off, or a switching-off of the engine is prevented, when functionally important consuming devices are switched on. Thus one achieves an appropriate compromise between saving of fuel and a satisfactory charge condition of the battery.

Stop-start device for a motor vehicle engine

A control circuit for the turn-signal flasher system of an automotive vehicle. The flasher system includes a relay having switch contacts which are serially connected, together with a direction indicator switch, between the vehicle battery and the turn-signal lamps. A measuring or sampling resistor is connected between the battery and the relay contacts. First and second pulse generators are connected between a first voltage indicator and the relay coil, and are selectively gated to interrupt the relay during normal lamp load conditions. The first pulse generator provides a normal mark-to-space ratio whereas the second pulse generator provides a reduced mark-to-space ratio for use during night driving conditions. Third and fourth pulse generators are responsive to corresponding voltage indicators connected to the measuring resistor. The third and fourth generators function to respectively provide different mark-to-space ratios in response to, and indicative of, lamp outage or current-overload conditions.

Control circuit for vehicle turn-signal flasher systems

A safety control circuit for electric motors of power windows of automotive vehicles and which differentiates between a tight fitting of the window pane and an obstacle blockage. The motor current is selectively detected to provide a signal representative of the instantaneous rather than static current values. The detected signal is compared to a reference signal. When the detected signal exceeds the reference signal by a given value or longer than a predetermined interval, which indicates that an obstacle blockage has occurred, the motor current is switched off or reversed.

Circuit arrangement for power windows

A windshield wiper system having an electric motor for driving windshield wipers through repeating wiper cycles by reversing the direction of rotation of the motor through a reversing switch comprising a pair of relays which control the polarity of current applied to the motor. A limit switch is mechanically coupled to the motor for detecting the end positions of the motor and for providing signals indicative thereof. First and second time delay circuits each have an output respectively coupled to one of the relays, and each delay circuit has a pair of inputs coupled to the limit switch. Each delay circuit is activated to provide a delayed output to its relay by a respective end position signal which immediately deactivates the other delay circuit.

Rear window wiper motor control

A windshield wiper control circuit is described wherein the time at which the wiper motor is deenergized after an operating switch has been switched off is determined by the wiper speed. The parking position of the wiper is thereby independent of the condition of the windshield.

Wiper installation for motor vehicles

A windshield wiper motor control circuit for controlling a motor which is normally operated in either continuous or intermittent modes and wherein during the intermittent mode the motor is responsive to a voltage source controlled by a pulse generator. In response to low motor speed and voltage conditions and during overload conditions, the control circuit reverts to intermittent operation and the duration between pulses is adjusted to prevent overheating or destruction of the motor.

Windshield wiper control circuit

A circuit arrangement for windshield wiper motor protection including circuits for pulsing the motor with a variable pulse interval pattern. The pulse interval is generated by circuits which are responsive to motor speed from a comparison with a reference. The motor is automatically deenergized when it is overloaded or stalled.

Wiper motor circuit arrangement

A circuit arrangement for a wiper motor, of the type comprising a controllable switching element for switching a motor operating circuit, wherein the switching element is controllable by a manually actuable operating switch and by a disconnection signal of a limit switch. The disconnection signal of the limit switch is directly conducted to the switching element through the motor supply lead itself. Thus, an inexpensive single-conductor cabling arrangement is realized.
