An ultrasound welding device for welding metallic conductors for producing a junction point includes two welding surfaces, which are located on opposite sides, and two lateral delimiting surfaces, which extend transverse to the working surfaces and which, together, define a compression space. In order to eliminate longitudinal movement of the conductors during welding, at least one of the lateral delimitation surfaces is additionally structured next to the structured welding surfaces.

A sonotrode for an ultrasound welding device including at least one working surface and a front surface that extends perpendicularly to the working surface. The invention concerns an ultrasonic welding device, which is more fully integrated by adjacent components of coupling surface. In order to permit a adequately fixed connection between the components, while, at the same time simplifying the mounting, it is suggested that at least some of the integrated components () are structured in their coupling surfaces (), which lie on top of each another, for the achievement of a form closure.

Overlapping conductors to be connected are arranged on a surface of a carrier disposed between a sonotrode and an electrode, the sonotrode and electrode are sequentially aligned the with overlapping points to be welded, and the conductors are ultrasonically welded at each of the overlapping points. The carrier either includes the electrode at least in designated areas, or includes penetrations constructed and arranged to receive an electrode in designated areas.
