A cooling body for the regulator of an electric machine, which regulator may be a voltage regulator of a DC generator of a vehicle, includes a heat exchange surface with an inflow region and an outflow region. A cooling air flow may be applied to the heat exchange surface during the operation of the electric machine. The cooling air stream impinges on the heat exchange surface in the inflow region and leaves the heat exchange surface from the outflow region. The heat exchange surface is shaped differently in the inflow region than in the outflow region. Because of the shape of the heat exchange surface, the direction in which the cooling air is applied is different compared to conventional surfaces.

The invention relates to a claw pole generator comprising a claw pole rotor, two magnet wheel halves () which are mounted on a drive shaft () and are provided with claw-shaped magnet poles () that mesh with each other, and an annular closing member () located between adjacent magnet poles (). The present invention relates to a fan wheel () for electrical machines, in particular for alternators of motor vehicles, with a fan disk () that, on its axially outwardly directed end face, has a number of fan blades () distributed around the circumference in the shape of a circular ring, the fan blades extending away from the fan disk in the axial direction, so that cooling air beneath the fan blades can be drawn in axially and blown radially outwardly between air channels () formed between them. One part () of each of the fan blades is joined in a fixed manner with the fan disk () via only its radially outward end section (), so that each inner end section () is swiveled radially increasingly outwardly by a centrifugal force () occurring there as rotational speeds increase, to reduce the cooling air stream. To minimize not only the speed-dependent adaptation of the cooling air quantity to the cooling needs of the machine, but the flow noises as well, preferably only every second fan blade () is provided with an inner end section () capable of being swiveled outwardly by centrifugal force (), while the other, adjacent, first fan blades () are rigid along their entire length and are connected to the fan disk () in a fixed manner.

An electrical machine with a rotor ( ), in particular a claw pole rotor, is proposed. The rotor ( ) has an exciter system of electrically excited individual poles in the rotor ( ), in the form of electromagnetically excited poles ( ) and counterpart poles ( ).
