An electronically pressure-controllable braking system and methods for controlling an electronically pressure-controllable braking system. Each wheel brake of the braking system is connected respectively to at least two brake circuits, pump units and valve devices of one brake circuit are operable respectively independently of the pump units and the valve devices of the respective other brake circuit. This provides a cost-effectively and compactly designed redundant braking system, which is suitable for use in autonomously, i.e., driverlessly drivable, motor vehicles.

Electronically pressure-controllable braking system and methods for controlling an electronically pressure-controllable braking system

A hydraulic unit, in particular for a controllable-slip vehicle brake system, includes a housing block, a pump, a first fluid duct, and a second fluid duct. The housing block defines a pump receptacle that receives the pump, which has a suction side and a pressure side. The first duct crosses the pump receptacle in a region of the pressure side of the pump. The second duct leads into the pump receptacle in the region of the pressure side. The first and second ducts are sealed off from each over via a separation point. The hydraulic unit is configured to enable contact with a damping device configured to damp pulsations and reduce operating noise of the hydraulic unit without negatively impacting functional properties of the hydraulic unit, in particular on pressure build-up dynamics of the vehicle brake system, or without jeopardizing a compact construction of the hydraulic unit.

A device for controlling a volumetric flow rate of a medium stored under pressure in order to activate an impact protection device, having a control module that includes a valve body having a stepped through-opening, and a control piston guided axially in the through-opening of the valve body, and a control valve that influences the movement of the control piston, the valve body having at a first end a closable medium inlet opening having a valve chamber. The control valve and the control module are situated in a common housing sleeve, the valve body of the control module being pressed into a first end of the housing sleeve until it comes to a stop on a housing shoulder, and the control valve being introduced into and fixed in a second end of the housing sleeve.

A piston pump includes a piston assembly which has at least one transverse bore which corresponds to a longitudinal bore. The piston pump further includes a cylinder in which the piston assembly is guided in a longitudinally movable manner, and an inlet valve which includes a cage element, in which an inlet valve spring and sealing element are arranged, and a corresponding inlet valve seat which is arranged on the piston assembly. The inlet valve sealing element can be pressed sealingly into the corresponding inlet valve seat by means of a restoring spring in order to close off the longitudinal bore. The restoring spring is designed as a simple cylindrical spiral spring which is supported axially with an upper end winding against the cage element and with a lower end winding against a cylinder base. The cage element has an elastic high-pressure sealing element which, in the direction of a cylinder wall, has a radial support region for holding and centering the upper end winding of the restoring spring. In order to guide the restoring spring, the cylinder has, at the transition between the cylinder wall and the cylinder base, a cylinder base corner radius which is adapted to the lower end winding.

An activation device for a protection device includes: a body with a chamber that has, respectively at first and second ends, a medium inlet opening to a medium storage and a valve opening, and an outlet opening for discharging the medium into the protection device between the first and second ends; a valve for opening and closing the valve opening for passage of the medium; and a piston that (a) includes a passage along a main extension axis, from a first surface thereof adjacent to the medium inlet opening, to a second surface thereof, larger than the first surface and adjacent to the valve opening, and (b) is movable in the chamber by the medium and as a function of the control valve position between a position in which the at least one outlet opening is closed and a position in which the at least one outlet opening is opened.

A pump includes an outflow channel configured for discharging fluid out of the pump. The outlet area thereof is formed by a throttle. The throttle includes a spring element configured to change the size of the outlet area of the outflow channel.

A piston pump includes a piston assembly which has a first piston element, a second piston element, and at least one transverse bore which corresponds to a longitudinal bore. The piston pump further includes a cylinder in which the piston assembly is guided in a longitudinally movable manner, and an inlet valve which includes a cage element, in which an inlet valve spring and sealing element are arranged, and a corresponding inlet valve seat which is arranged on the piston assembly. The inlet valve sealing element can be pressed sealingly into the corresponding inlet valve seat by means of a restoring spring in order to close off the longitudinal bore. The second piston element is configured as a sleeve made of a wear-resistant material, which accommodates axially acting power components. The inlet valve seat is disposed on a bending edge of the second piston element configured as a sleeve. The at least one transverse bore corresponding to the longitudinal bore is placed in the second piston element. The invention further relates to an associated braking system.

The invention relates to a piston pump for conveying fluids. The piston pump includes a piston, and a pressure chamber located between an intake valve and a discharge valve. The intake valve is arranged between the pressure chamber and a low-pressure zone of the piston pump. The intake valve has a valve body, a closing element, a device for preloading the closing element, and a device for fastening the intake valve to the piston. The fastening device encompasses at least two fastening elements which protrude from the valve body toward the piston. The fastening elements are positioned at a distance from one another, and are fitted with inlets therebetween for supplying fluid. The invention further relates to a piston pump having an intake valve without a spring-biased element.

A piston pump, having a pump housing in which a pump piston is guided in an axially moving fashion so that when the pump piston is actuated, a fluid is conveyed from a suction side to a pressure side via a pumping chamber that adjoins the pump piston; a region for guiding the pump piston in the pump housing includes a guide ring, which is provided with a sealing section and is affixed to the pump housing.
