A method of manufacturing a display device includes providing a display substrate divided into a plurality of emission regions, and a non-emission region adjacent the emission regions; forming a black matrix on the display substrate, the black matrix corresponding to the non-emission region; and forming a plurality of color patterns on the display substrate through a solution process, the plurality of color patterns corresponding to the emission regions.

Display device and method of manufacturing same

A flexible display device includes a flexible display panel, a flexible outer member disposed on the flexible display panel, and an adhesive member disposed between the flexible display panel and the flexible outer member. An elastic modulus of the adhesive member is from about 1/1000000 to about 1/1000 of an elastic modulus of each of the flexible display panel and the flexible outer member.

Flexible display device

A portable electronic apparatus includes a display panel which is flexible and thus prevents or protects a defect from occurring when the portable electronic apparatus is bent. The portable electronic apparatus includes: a display panel configured to display an image; a window that is disposed over an image display surface of the display panel; a functional plate that is disposed between the display panel and the window; and a first adhesive layer that is patterned and is disposed between the display panel and the functional plate or between the functional plate and the window.

Portable electronic apparatus

A foldable display is disclosed. In one aspect, the foldable display includes a foldable display panel and a folding adjustment part configured to adjust a folding configuration of the foldable display panel. The foldable display also includes a folding sensor configured to sense the folding configuration, a rear surface touch sensor configured to sense a touch input applied to a rear surface of the foldable display panel, and a controller. The controller is configured to detect first and second touch inputs applied to different portions of the rear surface and control the folding adjustment part so as to switch the folding configuration of the foldable display panel when the controller detects that the first touch input moves in a first direction and the second touch input moves in a second direction different from the first direction.

A flexible display device includes a flexible display panel, an outer member disposed on a surface of the flexible display panel and including an electrode layer, and a stress control member disposed between the flexible display panel and the outer member, where the stress control member allows neutral planes to be defined in the flexible display panel and the outer member, respectively, when the flexible display device is bent, the outer member includes a touch panel including the electrode layer, a flexible member disposed on the touch panel, and an adhesive layer disposed between the touch panel and the flexible member and which couples the touch panel to the flexible member, and a neutral plane of the outer member is defined in the touch panel.

A liquid crystal display (LCD) includes a first base substrate, a pixel electrode disposed on the first base substrate, a second base substrate facing the first base substrate, and an overcoat layer disposed on the second base substrate. The overcoat layer may include at least one of polysilsesquioxane, polysilazane, or derivatives thereof. The LCD further includes a common electrode disposed on the overcoat layer to form an electric field with the pixel electrode, and a liquid crystal layer disposed between the first base substrate and the second base substrate.

Liquid crystal display

A nanocrystal display includes a display panel including a plurality of pixels; and a substrate including a plurality of pixel areas corresponding to the plurality of pixels, and a boundary area between the pixel areas. Each pixel includes a first electrode on an upper surface of the substrate and in a corresponding pixel area; a second electrode on the upper surface of the substrate and spaced apart from the first electrode in a cross-section direction, a tunnel-shaped cavity defined in the plurality of pixel areas and spaced apart from the substrate by a predetermined distance; and an image display layer in the tunnel-shaped cavity; and a backlight unit which provides a light to the display panel and faces the upper surface of the substrate.
