The embodiments relate to a biodegradable polyester resin composition, to a nonwoven fabric, to a film, and to processes for preparing the same in which the biodegradable polyester resin composition comprises a specific diol component and a specific dicarboxylic acid component and may further comprise nanocellulose, whereby the biodegradability, flexibility, strength, and processability are enhanced. Since the biodegradable polyester resin composition has enhanced biodegradability, flexibility, strength, and processability as compared with the conventional natural biodegradable polymer widely used, it can be applied to various fields such as films, packaging materials, and nonwoven fabrics to show excellent characteristics.

Resin composition, nonwoven fabric and film of biodegradable polyester, and preparation method thereof

Disclosed is an eco-friendly biodegradable polyester resin composition, including: a polyester resin including a diol, an aromatic dicarboxylic acid and an aliphatic dicarboxylic acid, wherein an alternating ratio of the polyester resin is 0.3 to 0.7, wherein the alternating ratio is a ratio of a diol, bonded between the aromatic dicarboxylic acid and the aliphatic dicarboxylic acid, among the diol. The diol may include 1,4-butanediol; the aromatic dicarboxylic acid may include terephthalic acid or dimethyl terephthalate; and the aliphatic dicarboxylic acid may include adipic acid. When the biodegradable polyester resin composition is dried at 80° C., placed in a stainless steel mold, and compressed at 210° C. under a pressure of 10 MPa for 3 minutes to produce a polyester sheet having a thickness of 300 μm, the sheet has a tensile strange range from 40 MPa to 60 MPa, an elongation at break range from 800% to 1100%, and Young's modulus range from 20 MPa to 80 MPa.

An eco-friendly biodegradable molded article, including: a polyester resin including a diol, an aromatic dicarboxylic acid and an aliphatic dicarboxylic acid, wherein, when continuously irradiated with ultraviolet rays from a UVA 340 ultraviolet light lamp at an intensity of 0.75 W/m, a tensile strength decrease rate from the beginning of the ultraviolet irradiation to 1 day ranges from 5% to 40%.

The present invention relates to a biodegradable polyester resin, in which the first repeat unit comprising a first diol residue and an aromatic dicarboxylic acid residue and the second repeat unit comprising a second diol residue and an aliphatic dicarboxylic acid residue satisfy a ratio of the number of repeat units in a specific range, and the softness index of the resin satisfies a specific range, and to a process for preparing the same. Since the biodegradable polyester resin can provide a biodegradable polyester sheet or film that can be simultaneously enhanced in productivity, processability, and moldability and is excellent in tensile strength, tear strength, and friction coefficient and excellent in biodegradability and water degradability, it can be utilized in more diverse fields.
