A display apparatus realizing a narrow viewing angle is provided. The display apparatus may include a light-emitting device on an emission region of a device substrate. A touch structure and a lens may be disposed on an encapsulating element covering the light-emitting device. The lens may be disposed on the emission region. A color filter may be disposed on the touch structure and the lens. Thus, in the display apparatus, Moire phenomenon may be prevented or at least reduced.

Display apparatus realizing a narrow viewing angle

A display device includes a display panel including a plurality of sub-pixel areas for respectively outputting light for displaying an image and a light travel-direction changing layer disposed on the display panel for diversifying and spreading travel directions of light emitted from each of the plurality of sub-pixel areas. The light travel-direction changing layer includes a plurality of refractive patterns respectively corresponding to the plurality of sub-pixel areas and arranged in a matrix form, and a light-scattering layer disposed around each of the plurality of refractive patterns and having a refractive index different from a refractive index of each of the plurality of refractive patterns. Due to the light travel-direction changing layer, light from each sub-pixel area is incident into each refractive pattern, is refracted at a boundary between each refractive pattern and the light-scattering layer, and is scattered in the light-scattering layer. Thus, the light emits out of the display device in the diversified and spread travel directions.

Light emitting diode display device

A display apparatus having a light-emitting device and a touch electrode is provided. An optical pattern may be disposed on the light-emitting device. A side of the optical pattern may be sloped. A surface of the optical pattern opposite to the light-emitting device may be covered by an intermediate insulating layer. The intermediate insulating layer may be harder than the optical pattern. The touch electrode may overlap the side of the optical pattern. Thus, in the display apparatus, the surface defect of the optical pattern in the forming process of the touch electrode may be prevented. Therefore, in the display apparatus, the frontal luminance and the image quality may be improved.

Display apparatus having a light-emitting device and a touch electrode

Disclosed are a display panel in which a unit pixel is divided into a wide-angle area and a narrow-angle area in which at least sub-pixel is disposed and light emission is individually and selectively performed, a display device including the same, and a manufacturing method thereof. A semi-cylindrical lens is disposed in the wide-angle area so as to cover a plurality of sub-pixels. Semi-spherical lenses are disposed in the narrow-angle area so as to cover sub-pixels respectively. Therefore, a direction of light emitting from a light-emitting layer is controlled by adjusting a refractive index of each of the lenses in the wide-angle area and the narrow-angle area. Thus, a viewing angle is controlled.

Display panel, display device including the same, and manufacturing method thereof

A display apparatus having a narrow viewing angle is provided. The display apparatus may include a device substrate including a first pixel area; a bank insulating layer on the device substrate, the bank insulating layer defining a first emission region in the first pixel area; a light-emitting device including a lower electrode, a light-emitting layer and an upper electrode, which are sequentially stacked on the first emission region; a light-blocking pattern on the bank insulating layer, the light-blocking pattern including a first opening disposed on the light-emitting device; and a first pixel lens on the first opening of the light-blocking pattern, the first pixel lens having a horizontal width larger than the first emission region, wherein a horizontal width of the first opening is proportional to a vertical distance between the light-emitting layer and the light-blocking pattern. Thus, the central luminance of the pixel area may be improved.

Display apparatus having a narrow viewing angle

A display device including a plurality of pixels over a substrate, the display device includes: a pixel-defining layer covering edges of a first electrode of each of the plurality of pixels; a first spacer arranged on the pixel-defining layer and including a first portion and a second portion, the first portion of the first spacer having a width increasing toward the substrate, and the second portion of the first spacer being arranged between the first portion of the first spacer and the substrate and having a width decreasing toward the substrate; and a first hole arranged apart from the first electrode between the plurality of pixels, the first hole being formed in the second portion of the first spacer and the pixel-defining layer.

Display device and method of manufacturing the same

A display device includes a plurality of segmented display units arranged in a matrix, and a front display unit disposed on the plurality of segmented display units. The front display unit includes a plurality of transmission areas corresponding to main display areas of the plurality of segmented display units, and a supplementation display area corresponding to a separation area between the main display areas of adjacent segmented display units among the plurality of segmented display units. Due to the supplementation display area of the front display unit, the separation area between the main display areas of adjacent segmented display units may be prevented from being visible to a user. Therefore, the display device may realize both a large size screen and a high resolution.

A display device includes a display panel including a plurality of sub-pixel areas, and a light travel-direction changing layer including a plurality of light-transmitting patterns for changing the travel direction of light emitted from the plurality of sub-pixel areas, respectively. In this connection, a central point of a light-emission face of each of the plurality of light-transmitting patterns is defined as a point at which a virtual face corresponding to the light-emission face of each of the plurality of light-transmitting patterns contacts an optimal light-path line connecting a sub-pixel area corresponding to each light-transmitting pattern and a central point of the viewing area to each other. In this way, light from the sub-pixel area may pass through the light-transmitting pattern and may be directed toward the central point of the viewing area. Thus, the display quality in the viewing area may be improved.

An organic light emitting diode display device includes a substrate having an active area and a non-active area, a light emitting diode in the active area, a sealing layer over the light emitting diode, at least one lens pattern over the sealing layer, the at least one lens pattern having a convex shape, and a passivation layer in the active area and the non-active area, the passivation layer covering the at least one lens pattern and having a first open portion exposing a first pad area.

Organic light emitting diode display device

A display apparatus includes a display module including a display surface. The display module includes a display panel including a plurality of display devices which displays an image on the display surface, a plurality of light concentration lenses arranged on the display panel, a buffer layer disposed on the light concentration lenses, and a plurality of diffraction patterns arranged at regular intervals on the buffer layer, where the diffraction patterns diffract a portion of lights incident thereto.

A stereoscopic display device including a barrier panel is provided. When a viewing distance of a viewer is out of the proper range, the stereoscopic display device may shift the blocking regions and the transmitting regions of the barrier panel. The stereoscopic display device may maintain the ratio of channels located within a barrier blocking region and a barrier transmitting region of the barrier panel by using the channels disposed within trigger regions of the barrier panel. Thus, the stereoscopic display device may provide a stereoscopic image of good quality to the viewer located at a region being out of the proper range.
