Structures and compositions increasing the stability of peroxide actives

A peroxide product is provided. The peroxide product includes a package having a headspace, a substrate disposed within the package, and a thin layer of a composition having a peroxide active and a polyol, wherein the thin layer is disposed adjacent the substrate. The peroxide product also includes at least one means for increasing the stability of the peroxide active of the composition. The thin layer of the composition has at least about 43% of its original concentration of the peroxide active at twelve months after manufacture when stored at about 25&#xb0; C. and in the absence of light.

A packaged tooth whitening product is provided. The package includes a substrate having a first side and a second side, wherein the substrate is sized for use in a human user's oral cavity. A first composition including a tooth whitening agent is disposed adjacent the first side of the substrate. A second composition including an aesthetic agent disposed adjacent the second side of the substrate.

Oral products having an aesthetic layer

The present invention relates to a product comprising tooth whitening substance which comprises a high concentration of water, a peroxide, a gelling agent, and carrier materials. The tooth whitening substance will remain stable when stored as a thin layer. The present invention also relates to a method of storage of a tooth whitening substance and a method producing a stable thin layer of tooth whitening substance on a strip of material. Additionally, the present invention relates to the benefits obtained from the tooth whitening composition.
