A jack () connector comprises an insulating housing (), a plurality of different contacts (), (), (), (), and an optical device (). The insulative housing comprises a mating portion (), a mounting portion (), side portions (), and a cavity space (). The mating portion defines an opening () extending therethrough and communicating with the cavity space. The contacts are retained in the insulative housing, each contact having an upper end received in the cavity space and a tail end. The optical device is installed in the insulative housing and has an engaging portion for contacting an optical fiber plug connector, and a number of tail portions. A first distance between the engaging portion and the mating portion is longer than a second distance between the upper end of the contact and the mating portion.

Multi-function jack connector

An optical-electric connector () has an insulative housing (), a number of contacts () received in the housing, a spacer () and an optical-electric converter () assembled in the housing. The housing defines a receiving space () for receiving a mating plug and a plurality of passageways () for receiving the contacts. The spacer is installed in a rear side of the insulative housing for covering the receiving space. Low-profiled electrical connector with improved housing

An electrical connector comprises an insulative housing having a base portion, a mating portion extending forwardly from a front face of the base portion, a mounting portion extending rearwardly from a rear face of the base portion, a plurality of passageways defined in the mating portion, a space defined between the rear face of the base portion and an upper face of the mounting portion for receiving the PCB therein, a terminal module having an insulation mounted to the base portion of the housing and a plurality of terminals molding with the insulation, each terminal having a middle portion molded with the insulation, a mating portion extending forwardly from the middle portion into a corresponding passageway, a leg portion extending rearwardly from the middle portion adapted to extend through the PCB, the leg portion having a U-shaped configuration.
