Examples described herein provide selective filtering by a network device for continuous 5 GHz and 6 GHz operation. Examples may include receiving, by the network device, a first signal in a 5 GHz band, and generating, by the network device, a second signal in a 6 GHz band. Examples may include selecting, by the network device, a first filter or a second filter to be applied the first signal in the 5 GHz band, wherein the first filter allows a lower frequency band to pass than the second filter in the 5 GHz band, selecting, by the network device, a third filter or a fourth filter to be applied to the second signal in the 6 GHz band, wherein the third filter allows a lower frequency band to pass than the fourth filter in the 6 GHz band, and simultaneously applying, by the network device, the selected first or second filter to the first signal and the selected third or fourth filter to the second signal.

Selective filtering for continuous 5 GHz and 6 GHz operation of a network device

In implementations of the present disclosure, there is provided an access point (AP) radio arrangement for Wi-Fi. A method comprises selecting a filter for a first antenna from a first set of filters. The method further comprises determining a subset from a second set of filters based on the selected filter. The method further comprises selecting a filter for a second antenna from the subset. Implementations of the present disclosure can make full use of 6 GHz channels, and the combinations for dual 6 GHz usage scenarios can be more flexible.

Dual 6GHZ radio arrangement for access point

In implementations of the present disclosure, a power compensation determination for radio frequency cable mechanism is provided. An access point (AP) determines a time slot for an RF cable loss measurement on an RF cable, and transmits a test signal with a first TX power to an antenna module over the RF cable. The AP further obtains a second TX power transmitted by the antenna module, and determines an RF cable loss based on the first TX power and the second TX power. The AP further determines power compensation for the RF cable based on the determined RF cable loss, the first TX power and an antenna gain of the antenna module. The AP transmits signals on the RF cable to the antenna module based on the determined power compensation. Implementations of the present disclosure can determine the power compensation based on the RF cable loss automatically.

Power compensation determination for radio frequency cable

Implementations of the present disclosure relate to resource unit (RU) assignment to combat frequency selective fading. A method comprises determining, at an access point (AP), a plurality of channel qualities of a plurality of resource units (RUs) for a client. The plurality of RUs are configured to be available for communications with a plurality of clients comprising the client. The method further comprises determining, from the plurality of RUs, a target RU for the client based at least in part on the plurality of channel qualities. The target RU is to be used by the client for a following transmission with the AP. A target RU with good channel quality will be assigned to the client, thus the transmission and overall system performance will be enhanced.

Resource unit assignment for selective fading

An antenna device may include an antenna element, a planar grounding element, a first connecting element, and a second connecting element. The antenna element includes a radiator arm, a shorting arm, and a feeder arm, the shorting arm and the feeder arm being coplanar to and extending from a first edge of the radiator arm, the feeder arm extending parallel to the shorting arm. The first connecting element connects the shorting arm of the antenna element to the planar grounding element to position the antenna element and the planar grounding element in separate parallel planes. The second connecting element extends from and perpendicular to the feeder arm of the antenna element.
