Technology for a base station operable to encode a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) resource indicator field length for transmission to a user equipment (UE) for enhanced Ultra Reliable Low Latency Communications (URLLC) (eURLLC) is disclosed. The gNB can determine the PUCCH resource indicator field length that indicates a length of a PUCCH resource indicator field, wherein the PUCCH resource indicator field length is related to transmission of a number of PUCCH symbols for eURLLC. The gNB can encode the PUCCH resource indicator field length for transmission in downlink control information (DCI) to the UE.

Techniques of realizing efficient L3 CLI RSSI and SRS-RSRP reporting and triggering mechanisms are disclosed. The disclosed apparatuses and methods can configure a measurement object to include a cross-link sounding reference signal (SRS) resource or a cross-link received signal strength indicator (RSSI) resource. A level of cross-link interference (CLI) between a first user equipment (UE) and a second UE based is determined, at least in part, on the configured measurement object. Then, in response to occurrence of a predetermined event, a report is generated that includes the level of CLI. The measurement object is configured to include a resource configuration parameters for a cross-link interference received signal strength indicator (CLI-RSSI) measurement and sounding reference signal (SRS) resource configurations for a cross-link SRS reference signal received power (SRS-RSRP) measurement. One of the first or second UEs can transmit the report.

The processor circuitry can be configured to detect that a first beam associated with a secondary cell (SCell) is misaligned. The first beam is associated with a first reference signal (RS). The processor circuitry can further be configured to configure a beam failure recovery (BFR) procedure for the SCell and perform the BFR procedure to replace the first beam with a second beam, wherein the second beam is associated with the SCell.

Techniques are provided for implementing backhaul communications for an integrated access and backhaul node (IAB) operating in a wireless network. For example, an IAB node determines a first random access channel (RACH) configuration for a child node in the wireless network that is served by the IAB node. The IAB transmits a RACH configuration request message including the first RACH configuration to a parent IAB node, and receives, from the parent IAB node, a second RACH configuration complete message that includes a second RACH configuration that is based on the first RACH configuration for the child node. The IAB then performs backhaul communication with the parent IAB node using the second RACH configuration.
