A connector is disclosed. The connector has a housing and a conductive terminal disposed in the housing. The conductive terminal has a pair of resilient contact arms including a pair of clamping portions clamping a wire therebetween and a pair of releasing portions adapted to move the pair of resilient contact arms away from each other, each of the pair of resilient contact arms includes one clamping portion and one releasing portion disposed at a free end.

A connector assembly is provided and includes a first connector and a second connector. The first connector includes a first insulation body and a first terminal with a first cantilever secured in the first insulation body. The second connector connects with the first connector and includes a second insulation body, a second terminal secured in the second insulation body, and a second cantilever positioned between the first insulation body and the first terminal.

A spring clip is provided and includes a main body, a gripping section, a release member, and a conductive terminal receiving passageway. The main body includes a first arm and a second arm that is bent from the first arm, such that a free end of the first arm extends towards the second arm. The gripping section is provided between the free end of the first arm and an inner surface of the second arm. The release member extends from a free end of the second arm and away from the gripping section. The conductive terminal receiving passageway is disposed along a connection portion of the first arm and the second arm, and positioned opposite to the gripping section.

The present disclosure provides an electrical connector adapted to connect a cable having a metal braid layer with an electrical apparatus having an apparatus housing. The electrical connector includes a body adapted to be mounted on the apparatus housing; a cover fitted on the body; a metal shielding member fitted on the body and partially covered by the cover; and a terminal module arranged within the body. The terminal module comprises a grounding terminal for a grounding connection via the apparatus housing or a grounding wire of the electrical apparatus and a plurality of signal terminals for supplying electrical current from the cable to the electrical apparatus. The metal shielding member comprises a clamping portion adapted to clamp and electrically contact the metal braid layer and an elastic terminal electrically contacting the grounding terminal.
