A method and a device for verifying a recognition result in character recognition are provided. The device constructs a hidden Markov chain for a character string to be recognized, using recognition result output of a character recognition process. The recognition result includes candidate characters of each character in the character string. The device solves for an optimal path forming a candidate character string according to the hidden Markov chain and a pre-trained state transition matrix. The device recognizes non-Chinese characters in the character string according to state transition probabilities in the optimal path. The device verifies the recognition result according to the non-Chinese characters. The device feeds back a verification result to the character recognition process, wherein the character recognition process applied to the character string to be recognized is modified by the verification result.

Method and device for verifying recognition result in character recognition

A text image processing method and a text image processing apparatus are provided. In some embodiments, a text image processing method includes: preprocessing a text image to obtain a binary image, where the binary image includes multiple connected regions; acquiring a convex hull corresponding to each of the connected regions with a convex hull algorithm; acquiring a character region circumscribing the convex hull; performing character segmentation on the acquired character region to obtain multiple character blocks; and merging the character blocks based on heights of the character blocks to obtain word blocks of the text image.

Text image processing method and apparatus

Embodiments of the present disclosure disclose a method for recognizing a fingerprint ridge point. The method includes performing orientation field estimation on a fingerprint image; identifying a pixel in the fingerprint image as a target pixel; determining a ridge direction of the target pixel according to the orientation field estimation, and a normal direction perpendicular to the ridge direction; defining a rectangular region by using the target pixel as a central point, a length of the rectangular region being along the ridge direction, a width of the rectangular region being along the normal direction of perpendicular to the ridge, and the rectangular region comprising multiple pixel rows; calculating a sum of grayscale values of pixels in each pixel row; and determining that the target pixel is a fingerprint ridge point when the sum of grayscale values corresponding to a pixel row that includes the target pixel is the minimum.
